Nice game

The game is a very simple piece of flash. I know you've got a little glitch with the tail on the g of 'Loading', but can probably fix that easier.

I'd suggest a way to take it further would be to make the game board bigger and include more levels. You can update the graphics, make them look less cartoon-esque for example.

Maybe you could add traps - pitfalls (fall in and lose the level); lazers (periodically shoot an area of the board); Robots (run around a pre-set area, killing the balls)

This is a very good puzzle game, I think you can take this further.

Thanks for the review.
In the sequal I'm making, the game board is going to be bigger in some levels, as you suggested. There will also (hopefully) be at least twice as many levels, with a level creator to give unlimited possibilities.
How would you suggest I make make the graphics 'less cartoon-esque'?
The traps you suggested are cool ideas, however, I don't think they would really fit into the puzzle genre, it would make the game turn into more of an action/defense game. Although, the new mini-game in the sequel might allow for these traps.
Thanks for the review!

Some improvements made

You've taken on board the comments made about the music loop and have fixed that, which is nice to see and hear. The tutorial is a good one, but I'm still waiting to see the new graphics (or am I being too picky here?)

Anyway, I'd change the name of the dictionary to a glossary and I'd add a few more terms to it:

imho - In my humble opinion
FTW! - For the win (Usually added after a person, or action, to show how great it is)
roflmao - roll on the floor laughing my arse off (a combination of lmao and rofl.)

Still, you've improved the flash overall, although with something as versatile as a definative tutorial like this, you can certainly say that there are always improvements that can be made, since Newgrounds is evolving on a daily basis.

Questions about questions here...

I'd say you've got a few errors in the questions themselves, which I'll illustrate below:

1. Technically liljim is a moderator, since he's an admin, which allows moderator privalages.
2. Stamper's BBS colour is pink. It says so in the FAQ, because Stamper can do whatever he wants.

It's a good quiz and I like the fact that if you do get a question wrong, you don't have to trawl all the way through the previous questions, you've set a cutoff at every 5 questions.

I'm not too keen on the background, especially the white in the middle of the picture,as it did hide some of the answers from me. The music is a nice piece and it sounds good quality, although I never listen to that kind of stuff myself.

Are you planning on making a second quiz? If so, PM me and I can help you with some old skool questions.

Concise and informative

This is a well thought out tutorial, although I would consider putting more movement in there, illustrating how things work. Show the users exactly what is required, because sometimes users need a map and both hands to find their own arses.

The music is annoying when you return to the main menu - why not have it in a continuous loop, rather than skipping to the start of the track whenever you reset the main menu?

Still, you've told the users the information they need to know and you've put it into the medium of Flash, which is really what it says on the tin.

Good game

A perfect way to kill 10 minutes in the office. I did need some help on certain countries, but I did manage to get up as high as 51 on easy, which I'm proud of.

Not quite sure why you used an 'O' as the correct symbol. Why not just use a tick or a check to indicate that. Still, it is your game, so your choice.

This game can be given so many new takes - movies, sports, etc, which is what makes it so cool - the template is simple and you can tweak it for a new subject each time.

Good work, when can we see more from you?

I'm hoping to keep making stuff regularly, so if you add me to your favourites, you wouldn't have to wait long before getting an e-mail!

Just now, though, I'm a bit sick and choose to not spend my energy on doing Flash stuff.

If you mean, 'when can we see more word-scrambles'... I'll be finishing this one off soon. After that, I'll maybe do a few more if folk enjoy them.

The circle is used to denote 'correctness' in many eastern countries. Also, it's prettier, with a nice symmetry to it.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Stay funky!

Simple, effective and fun

This is a good game, useful for killing a few spare minutes. You've managed to come up with a great little game here... maybe one of the yellow circles could cut down on the number of reds out there, or turn them green, giving a better chance of posting a higher score

Have you considered putting a scoreboard up on the internet somewhere? There is probably someone who can do thousands of these circles in one sitting, while I can only manage 150-160 of them...

Cybex responds:

I think it would be unfair on the high scorers who have already played it if i added a high score board now, but thats definately something i'll add to t if i make a sequel.

Old concept, new twist

I love the way this game pans out. It's very deep, the puzzles are very enjoyable and you get a real sense of being bad in a good sort of way.

I tried looking for a way to keep track of my money in this game, which I couldn't find for love nor money, so maybe it's me missing it, or did you just not put one in there?

I think my favourite of the seven sins was Lust (isn't it everyone's?) but I do love the mini-game to earn wages, as that is an amazing quick fire scroller.

Are you planning on more? When can we expect to see these?

DissoluteProductions responds:

Theres a staus button, its the green one with a question mark, it has your stats, money and a reflection of you, so you can check out the effects of hair cuts.

I dont know about a sequal Ive made a plan for one but Ive got a bunch of things Id like to do next and making sequals doesnt have that original spark. Still I dont know.

A little on the slow side...

If this game had the pace quickened a little, it would be absolutely awesome. The problem being that Vlad isn't the quickest guy in town. (I have a dead grandfather who moves quicker) and that is what really lets the games down.

The graphics are cartoony and they look pretty good. The sound gets a little annoying after a while, in the way any arcade game should, but it's not so annoying that you refuse to ever play again.

It is clear that you've thought this game through. Are you planning on a sequel (or another version of this) or are you making this just a one-off?

Paranoia responds:

The speed is due to the lag. It's supposed to run at like three or four times the speed it does, and probably will in the year 2070 when we all have supercomputers...

As for a sequel, I'm not planning anything directly following on from this, but I will probably do some more stuff with similar gameplay / graphics.

(And less lag).

Great game

This game is as violent as Dad'n'Me and just as well made. So you're shooting kids half your size with a water pistol. They're kids, so they're probably better at it than me - they prved it during my time playing anyway :S

The controls take a little getting used to, but they certainly work. I didn't get very far through, but from the little snippit I saw, slapping the little bastards at close range seemed to be my best defence, rather than trying to pick them off from range.

I'm not really a fan of the foreground items which can get in the way of the gameplay from time to time, as the kids hide behind them - almost as if you intended it.

Will there be a sequel or will you be concentrating on other projects?

Glaiel-Gamer responds:

there will be a sequal

Very nice

The graphics look great, the playability is awesome and the little tutorial level was just a great way to introduce people to the game.

Reminds me of super mario / sonic but with better graphics and more playability... and dinosaurs.

Not sure if there would be a sequel for this, but with your animation skills, I'm sure there would be other flash from you in the near future.

Buzzwerd responds:

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.

Well, rather than Mario, the game WAS heavily inspried by Donkey Kong =p

I'm not sure if there will be a sequel for this either, but we will defineatly be releasing more games =)

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
