Nicely done

A well worked piece here, with well developed physics and the sense of everything fitting together nicely. I like the table layouts that you come up with, from the traditional tables to the more bizarre shapes that you can come up with.

I think that the graphics aren't exactly much to look at, but given that they need a little tweak just gives you something to work on. The mechanics are spot on and while I'd personally invert the controls, so it's more like a pool cue, you pull back to increase the power, it still works well, when you get that point across to the player.

Wow, that's a very well thought out review! Thank you for the constructive feedback, I really appreciate it :)

Good fun, but...

Well animated, good for a quick laugh, but with limited addictive qualities, this is a decent effort. It's fun, by all means, but I just don't think I could keep coming back for more.

I love the style that Stamper has been drawn with and the way that he jumps like a prima dona ballerina in all her glory. Such sweetness.

The main issue I have is that you've got your compass directions mixed up. If you have a traditional set of compass points, North at the top and South at the bottom, left should be West and Right East. Your medal settings have East as Left and West as Right. A simple mistake, but a very crucial one, I feel.

Annnnnd, I just noticed that, :/

Lovely game

I love the way that this game has been set out - the way that you've got to get yourself all the way across the country in order to win big. It sounds kind of like the 1980s film "Brewster's Millions" the idea was to get the main character to appreciate the value of money, much like the hobo has to do, but in the complete polar opposite fashion. The message is the same - learn to appreciate the privileged life that we lead.

The graphics are great and so are the mini games that you've given. With the hitch hiking, I'm sure that you'd have been better off if you'd have given us some variation, like the addition of something like an occasional conversation window for hitch hiking, as it can get quite boring as you head from city to city hitch-hiking constantly.

A well worked plot, nice sounds and a good addictive quality to the game. The only other way that I could really think to improve it would be the addition of the Newgrounds Medals protocol to it, possibly ones for reaching each city, plus something for achievements in the mini games. Simple and effective.

thank you for this detailed review!
I hope there will be an update/sequel soon!

Enjoyable challenge

Not a bad little puzzle game. Though it's not quite up in the league of the Impossible Quiz, it's certainly a good strategic nature that will take some working out.

I think that the layout is simple, but quite effective - giving the player a chance to experience the level for a very short time and then they suddenly have to deal with it or restart. I have to say that I did actually give up after getting to the first boss and repeatedly losing, because I can't find the correct button to press before the very short timer expires.

I think that the main issue there is that there isn't enough of a clue to get me through that level - I tried clicking the letters of "1st Boss", clicking the glass pane that floats around and even tried avoiding it, all to no avail. When you've tried it that many times, the whole game itself doesn't last longer than 15 seconds, which can get very boring after only a short time.

This game started off very well, but by the finish, the potential it had shown seems to have been wasted on that one level. Perhaps with a few tweaks, you can show the improved version to us and we can see that those later levels are worth the wait.

thank you for the review :).
I'm sorry for the ending (i on accidently removed the button that beat it 0.0).
I will fix it in the next edition :D.

Thanks for the good review (at least you review fairly lol)

Great Challenging Fun!

A wonderful little game of quick fire space-style shoot em up. I like the way that you incorporate the asteroids style of play into this game, though with the controls all on the mouse, it can be a difficult interface to play against.

The graphics are amazing and the gridlines actually help to get the shots lined up when you've got time to analyse the debris that's floating around after you.

The main issue I had was the controls, as when I try to manoeuvre around the incoming obstacles - especially those that pursue me - it's difficult to control the ship around them, as moving too quickly takes the ship on a direct path through the incoming opponents.

Still, a great game.

Thanks!
My opinion is still that these controls are best for this game :P

Simple and effective

A highly engrossing game that I've never encountered anything similar to during my time surfing the internet. I think that the mechanics are well worked out, although I would question how the level system works - perhaps you could install something like you need to get so many blocks out into the Tetris field before a certain time of the day, since you're working in a factory. Perhaps put the score summary after each level has been cleared onto a clocking card, for example.

I think that it's a ncie little game with good potential to expand into bigger and better things, so I'll be looking forward to seeing how you take this forwards.

srsus responds:

Thanks for your comment! For now level system works as follows: the next level is initiated after every 15 blocks so that the new blocks are getting more and more defective and they are coming faster and faster.

True Family Entertainment

Good programming, a decent enough selection of quiz questions and entertainment for all the family, when assisted by Google.

I had a few issues with the game, as it stopped working when I tried to give the answer for the astronomer that discovered Pluto. Teething troubles are only natural as well, with it taking a little too long between some of the later questions for the continue button to appear, for example.

I think that you need some sort of script to randomise questions in the quizzes - you could have a batch of 10 questions for each difficulty and it would keep people playing long enough, before the questions started to duplicate, as text shouldn't take too much memory, for example.

Yeah, that would be cool... if I knew how!

Thanks for the review!

Could do with a point

Not a bad little physics engine, but I'd prefer it if you made this into some sort of game where you had to guide certain coloured balls into certain coloured goals for each level, slowly increasing the difficulty, by adding more balls, or giving different balls different characteristics.

I think you're onto something good here, so try and take it further and give us something that's really a nice stepping stone towards something else.

Thanks for the review, and i will try and make a game out of this later. =)

And so we move on

Another great episode with a lot of good workings, plotline and even more development of the story. I particularly like the way that it's more hands on with Joseph's demon purging, which makes for a more interactive experience.

I think that once more, the whole drawing of the images needs a helping hand, but as I've seen before, as you get more used to it, your style will come through, giving a more crisp, well finished piece.

When everything comes together, we have a nicely balanced storyline, which is moving on at a frenetic pace. I only hope that the next episodes make this worth the wait :)

Thanks for the review bare with us on responding but we will get to them :)

Not a bad start

I think that this game needs a little work - certainly putting in the number of laps that you need to race to win would be brilliant and maybe some timing to show how fast you can run this track.

Perhaps you can expand it to a championship of perhaps 3 tracks and change the mechanics of the opponents, so that some of them race better on one circuit, but worse on others - reflecting the human nature of the drivers.

It's not a bad game, although a little easy to win, if you decide to keep on the gas through the 90 degree turns and only just ease off for the hairpin. I think that you've made a nice start and that you can certainly take it further when you decide to start making the next of these style games.

frogger2k8 responds:

yeah, if i make difficulty modes this will certainly be the easy mode, and if you play a few games you will see that the AI are slightly more/less difficult every time play.

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
