A few issues

It's not a bad quiz, with some decent questions, which can't pose too much of a problem to users prepared to look at the FAQ, the forums and the like to get their answers.

The one question that you posed in Hard mode has a real issue with the fact that the maths is wrong - 30 per day for 516 days does not equal 17,500 B/P, which is the requirement for Colonel, the corresponding badge. A little trial and error will find the answers if you're desperate for getting further in the quiz, but it's not really what I was after.

A good selection of music and it all fits together quite well.

I'll check out this wrong question. Thanks for pointing it out.

Interesting game

I like the way that some of the stick deaths are incorporated into this whole game for the failure part - a great way to show exactly what you did to mess up this time, I feel.

Perhaps the walking animation of all of the sticks could have been sped up a little, just to give a less boring part between the one part and the next, as Lance walks from place to place.

A decent plot and some good backing music to keep everything happy, but I think that you could have done a little more, rather than just keeping it so short and leaving at at such a cliff-hanger.

It really was just something I'd been meaning to finish. I'd started and stopped and restarted from scratch so many times. I just really wanted to get it off my back now, and i'm proud of it just purely because of the difference between the two. Thanks for the review.

Has a few issues

It's not a bad animation to be honest, though I would suggest that you work on the game mechanics slightly - there are issues with jumping over the water - when you drop off the vine, if you so much as touch the water, you die. The sound effect for the death was a little on the loud side, compared to the precedent you set with the sound effect for the jumping.

The other main issue I have is the way that when you come to a ladder, you lose score for dropping down - you should be able to stand on the ladder and climb down, without your score dropping.

The graphics are good, the concept is well devised and overall, it is a nice game. I can see this going further.

much thanks. i think what i need to do is also add a sound effect for "falling". another thing i might try is letting the users customize the sound volumes etc. again i am learning AS3 (well still 6 months into it), and my bag of tricks isnt huge yet.

thanks for the encouragement and ill look more into what else i can add. if anything could you also put up some links to any other ideas/tutorials i could implement.

Not bad

This game has a few addictive qualities although the amount of strain it puts on my forearm while trying to control the arrow keys solely with my left hand means the game should probably carry a health warning :P

Quite a basic concept, but I like it - there are certain types of puzzle games out there similar to this that cater to different tastes, but I like the base of the puzzle game - I've suggested this for the puzzles collection,a s a result.

An easy to use interface and what could certainly turn into hours of fun!

Thanks for the comments everyone, puzzle genre is new for us so keep your eyes opened:)

Addictive

This particular game is jam packed with the sort of cut and thrust archery that keeps you coming back for more - getting the achievements in game is tough enough and the Newgrounds medals on top of that are difficult but fun to try and get.

I'm not entirely sure how much of a benefit the armours are, but it's a well thought through system linking them to the achievements. Perhaps another way to do it is to have them available for the survival mode when you've unlocked so many achievements, for a start, but when you're in the shop, you should be able to buy them in the campaigns. Perhaps this would require more gold being dropped in the game to cope with the extra budget required.

Thanks,

The armor effects are told in the descriptions when you scroll over them in the achievements screen. For the sequel I'm actually planning to have them bought in the shops while you're in the campaign mode, a lot of people haven't had the chance to see them.

Error!

Well, the sad things about this flash is that most of these error messages are actually true. I don't speak of experience of Mac or Linux users, but from my many years as a slave to the harsh regime of William Gates, I feel that I must speak out at every given opportunity.

A nice layout (Ah, the DOS format of the menu screen really brings back nostalgic memories *wipes away a tear*) and some well presented computer set ups that capture exactly what a working computer is supposed to look like. Now that this is working perfectly, we can load *chime* Perfect timing helps there, which you've given us.

All I can say is that you're going to plumb for more cynical errors and come back with another version which has even more funnies to keep us chuckling along, blissfully unaware that it could happen to us at any mo-

2010 will have at least double as many errors and around 10 error games!

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
