How can I say this without being harsh?

I can't...

Your animation style is very basic, primative, even. You use no voices, even though you did manage to get a decent joke out of the use of typed speech, with the Gigi font.

I did think the whole flash was humerous, but I think you are capable of so much more. I do really appreciate the jokes and the writing that has gone into it and because I appreciate them so much, I want to encourage you to do so much more.

Give us an episode with 3-D graphics, or actual audio for the voices, I know you can do it, really knock our socks off!

Jimtopia responds:

Actually, that wasn't harsh at all, it was a lot better than some reviews I've gotten. Anyway, on to the response: Like I said in the Author's Comments, this is an older flash cartoon of mine, and I'm glad it got a giggle out of you, but you're right, I am capable of doing better. I am improving every time I make a cartoon, and I am working on a series with voices, it's coming along great (I just need to get lip syncing down). I also am practicing 3D rotation if frame-by-frame and whatnot, so everything you mentioned is kinda, on it's way, lol. Anyway, I appreciate your review, and am glad you gave me such words of confidence.

Stay Awesome, Jimtopia

Hard Hitting, informative and thought provoking

This certainly makes me think about the problems that Schizophrenics suffer with. I take it from your comments before watching the flash that you are not a sufferer, so are looking at this from an objective point of view.

Considering that all of your flash is line drawn, it looks great. The sound is amazing, with a great soundtrack and a well delivered, important message.

In short, I like this flash and you're a great animator. Are you going to do other psychological profiles, or will you maybe branch out into something different?

RussianDumbass responds:

Frankly I didn't expect much of a good response at all, but since this is the case, I might do more! I'm thinking multiple personality disorder. That one's really crazy.

A good start

What I really would like to see is a longer animation. Yes, this is a good introduction and your cartoon drawing skills are great (tablet, mouse or other?) You've given us a quick way to see what each character is like, albeit without voices for them - ideally, I'd have them say a little about who they are and what they do.

Still, you've given yourself a platform to launch the series from. The next step will be the biggest in actually making an episode. Do you have a due date for this at all?

Snubby responds:

For Duck Luck's 4 and up I am using this intro., so I made it on it's own as like a mini-project. Check out DL4 for a longer (and better) animation (yes, I have made 4 episodes, not just an intro).

I use a mouse, no tablet.

Ultimate seizure ending!

Could have done with at least one of the Austin Powers style "Johnson" chain jokes, but other than that it's frankly awesome.

You've always made flash to make me laugh, Bahamut. When I see that the animation's not of the best quality, I learn to look further than that and I see that you're just a talentless hack.

LOL, just kidding.

Seriously, this flash is accomplished and it goes to show that you can really write some great stuff for me to review (and for you to respond to ;) )

Is there any chance of me seeing my request of a Bahamut wearing the Harry Enfield Scouser big moustache and afro wig?

Eh, eh calm down!

Murray responds:

"Is there any chance of me seeing my request of a Bahamut wearing the Harry Enfield Scouser big moustache and afro wig?"

lol, I havn't watched much Harry Enfield, but I wonder what happened if I did that. Besides, I have too many ideas for flash. :S Thanks for reviewing Coop.

Nice, but a little rough

This is the Sorcerer's Apprentice (Disney's Fantasia) meets Tom & Jerry. A wonderfully violent concept.

Although the graphics are a little rough around the edges, you have got animating talent here. What holds you back is that you only animate 2-D layers over the background, rather than doing a complete 3-D turn around. Most of the other motions, you can get away with.

Personally, I think that you needed more than just the Flight of the Bumblebee for sound - possibly some violent noises ripped from Tom & Jerry or other similar cartoons.

The plot was a nice one though and, although the chances of Tom leaving the NG office completely deserted are small to none, I think it's still a good flash.

Do you have any plans to do any other movies in the future?

Jonimator responds:

Yes i definatly plan to make more. More sounds would be a nice addition to Sherbert 3. True Tom wouldn't leave the office desserted, But if he didn't, in this animation there wouldn't be much plot. Thanks for your review. I really appreciate it!

Thanks Swain!

This is a great way to tribute Blockhead. You've done a great job on this tribute, using the audio from Blockhead 1. I liked this. Why don't you make your own script and then make a proper tribute episode though, as it does smack a little of cutting corners, ripping the audio like that...

Still, not that I'm belittling your good work here. It's quality and I'm sure Michael Swain would like it

Phill64 responds:

Thank you!

As for making my own script, i think that is getting away from tributing and going towards trying to take over :) besides, i'd still have to use voices from existing episodes, so anything i could come up with would not be very original.

The Swain did enjoy this clip :) his review is at the very start if you're interested.

Cheers!

It's the world of tomorrow alright!

Well, Bahamut is now a time traveller, just like the rest of the inhabitants of Earth (:P)

I love the obscure Futurama references, since they made it a nice concept for making a new year's flash. So long as they don't swamp your flash from now on ;)

Sorry for not congratulating you on the first flash submitted to Newgrounds in 2007, but take heart, as this is my first review of 2007 (and hopefully my first response)

Murray responds:

It's ok about the no congrats. This should be your first 2007 response, so thanks for the review and I hope this is a wonderful response! :D:D:D:D

Getting in the Xmas spirit

This flash is a great example of what you should do at Xmas - stay in with friends and take the piss out of people who you don't like, but insist on hanging around with you anyway.

I hope you got the Nintendo Wii, as it seems like you've been good enough this year to get one.

How long before we get to see the next installment of the adventures of Bahamut?

Murray responds:

Actually, I don't hate Graham. He's a funny guy, but does go over the top with Goatse. I doubt I'll get a Nintendo Wii in time for Christmas, but we'll see. The next flash of the adventures of Bahamut will be submitted on New Years Day.

Thanks for reviewing. :)

Not a long enough loop

This is quite a good piece, in that you've done a good drawing and animated the blood drops off the heart. Shame it doesn't really have much else to it (save for the subliminal message)

I'd love to see this having some meaning to it, but regardless of that, it's certainly too good to be scored as Turd of the Week

Sir-CannabisClock responds:

I dunno about anyone else, but I'm content with my poop trophy :D. might not be the most glamourous award but hey, gets me views

Needs more work

People have tried making files which tell users how to operate the basics of NG. For example, the FAQ is there for a reason. What I would suggest you do is put in helpful pictures, like screenshots of the Under Judgement flash to tell people what to do, actually show them how to vote on a movie etc.

The music is annoying and could well put people off watching your tutorial. I'd either add a mute button or put a selection of tracks in.

Sidorio responds:

I'm learning buttons still. I'll add more picturs next time.

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
