Awesomely evocative

This piece has been really well thought through, you've animated it in a similar style to South Park, haven't you?

The plot line is great, and some of the jokes in there are top notch. You've acquired a great recording of the classic song for this and have managed to take it to the next level.

THe one question I must ask is how on earth do you top something like that?

By ditching my social life for a few months :P

Thanks for the review dude!

Should have driven the dog.

Ok, so is this "1 flash a week project" going to consist of 52 previews?

Still, here we are on week 2 and I'm still looking forward to the exciting new series you are bringing us. Your drawing is neat, the animation is good, although it's far too short for my liking. (never satisfied, am I?)

I like the subtle blend of Speakonia and your own voice this time, as it does give the impression that the movie isn't entirely half-arsed. How long before we get a proper episode though?

Murray responds:

They're just short flashes, so I don't think there will be proper episodes. These flashes are just for fun. :) Thanks for reviewing Coop!

Unstable foundations...

...should not be used when building, as this leads to subsidence. Metaphorically speaking, this is what I feel about this flash.

The sound is decent, but you need to actually act the voices out yourself, or get a friend to, I'm not that bothered.

Your graphics need work - I'm not the biggest fan of sticks, but these are poorly animated ones. Was that a gun in the first scene? It barely looked like one. Still, working on these can only improve you.

However, this has the beginnings of a decent plotline, which must be nurtured, so that it can blossom to its full potential.

I'm getting quite philosophical about this flash...

Thanks!

Good Music, decent animation

Firstly, Alice Cooper rocks.

Secondly, this is a decent flash - your animation is pretty well drawn for a mouse, but you do need to work on your technique. I'm not entirely happy with the lip-sync technique, but I'll let the music carry my bias for this flash.

With a bit more work, you can make this flash really good - practise drawing, maybe try reducing the size when you do detail, so that it doesn't look so rough around the edges.

You're on the road towards good flash, but I'm sure you can get there. Fancy trying Detroit City, that's a great tune

Thanks for the review. I actually did a lot more stuff to this in the past week to tweak it and make it ready for the portal. I think I'm going to leave it for a while. As for the next music video, I'm probably going to go with the Steven Trilogy from WTMN.

Guess I'm gay then

Because I don't own a Rocket Knife.

A good animation, with a couple of little niggles - the voiceover sounded as if you were too close to the mic when you recorded, while the bleeding looked totally unrealistic. If you stab someone in the head, their blood doesn't piss out all over the floor like you've made a hole in the bottom of a water tank, it spurts.

Still, this is a good flash and I found it amusing, particularly the sales pitch "Now only 8 Grand!"

More decent writing and you could end up with a few awards under your belt

Markface responds:

Yeah, my mic died so I recorded it via a digital camera... big mistake.

The blood though, I know what your trying to say, at the time I thought I would do that but once I really animated it through... well it didnt cut it as much as the cartoony blood spray.

Thanks again for the review.

Needs a few little tweaks

Like maybe a health warning, for starters. No-one should seriously try and destroy a CRT monitor with a hammer. The Cathode Ray Tube is a deadly piece of kit and you were lucky. Cut your finer? Serves you right, dude!

Still, that was an amazing parody of the Matrix. Trinity seemed even more manly than I remember (if that's possible, for a butch lesbian like her)

I like this and could just imagine you doing a parody of some other films - ever considered doing DOGMA?

How long did it take for you to come up with something like that?

[Review Request Club]

AlmightyHans responds:

i actually didnt cut myself dude XD, all it was i thought i did but i was an old scratch made by the cat XD

yes, trinity is butch

i'm actually considering making THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY in 30 seconds, acted by me the way this parody was made.

this took me about 3 hours honestly, it was all improvised. i'm sure if i end up making the lord of the rings parody, and think it all through, it'll be cooler :D

THANKS for the REVIEW!

You've done better

Well, what can we really say about a quick flash like this?

Firstly, the drawing style, while it looks slightly shitty, it also looks quite effective. I've only put the scores so low, because I know you can do better - I've seen proof!

Was that yourself singing? If so, get into a talent show, you might be able to earn yourself a few prizes for your voice as well.

The plot of the song was bizzare, so I'm not awarding anything for that.

While I look forward to some of your better animations, I don't look forward to any more like this!

[Review Request Club]

LuckyLollipopLad responds:

How do you know I can do better? Maybe in terms of design the game's better, but you haven't seen my other animations, have you?

Thanks for the faith in me though!

The audio was a large number of tracks, all with my voice on a cheap mic. Nothing else.

I'm astonished by the compliments! Ta!

Unfortunately, I'm a lazy guy, and whilst I hope to finish one full animation soon and begin another, also soon, it'd be wrong to promise anything.

I give my games and bike-riding higher priority.

Getting better

The animation is a little slow and jerky still, but I'd say you are making progress. I'd have suggested that you actually use speakonia for the phone voice, since Sherbert thought it sounded like StrawberryClock.

The main problem the animation has is that it's far too short. You could probably fit the rest of the plotline into the alloted space for the episode, so why not try?

Anyway, those few small niggles aside, I think this is a decent flash. Your skills are improving, although I do not like the flatness that some of the pictures give off and moving Sherbert's legs / paws looks a little lame. Keep up the work, I look forward to 3-2

[Review Request Club]

Jonimator responds:

Thanks for the review! The reason it's so short is because of the music, it takes FOREVER to load. maybe it's just my computer though. I didn't use speakonia because I didn't want to download anything, that I'd only use once. And if i did i'd get into the habit of using it, 'cause i can't stand animation's with that.

Once again thanks for the review. I'll try to work on sherbert's walking feet cause it slightly annoys me to.

OMG, You used Speakonia

Well, for an introduction, that was good, but the proof will be in next week's flash, I'm sure.

I did quite like all of the stuff Satan was doing in the background (unless it was masturbating, in which case I think he's a faggot)

I know you couldn't give two fucks about what I have in mind, but I'd love to see Bahamut celebrate England actually winning at sport, since it's so damned rare

Blah Blah Blah, can't wait for next week's episode so I can give you a real review

[Review Request Club]

Murray responds:

Satan is not gay! He was just being an idiot. :P And you'd love to see me celebrate England winning at sport? Nah, I won't do that since I'm not a sports person.

Thanks for reviewing Coop.

Snow, music and... a tank?

Well, that's a great way to deliver a music video. The tune isn't really anything special, but the quality is all I'm looking for here. With no static and the fact you tailored the animation to the length of the track, means you've paid attention to it.

The punchline is funny and again, you've written it really well. The funny thing is, when some factors work better, the little imperfections with your animation style don't look so obvious.

Give us more, I quite enjoyed that one!

[Review Request Club]

Jimtopia responds:

Yes, snow, music, and a tank. Anyway, yeah I was actually pretty proud of myself here, I timed it up very well. So expect more, because they can only get better! :)

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
