He's THAT Badass!

This is a neat little short you've written here. I like it, but judging by your series on Link, I'd say you're taking quite a tongue-in-cheek attitude to it.

Good graphics, although some of the sprites don't move very much to indicate they're talking. Well written and directed.

What next for you? More flash about Link? Or something new?

Emptygoddess responds:

Tongue in cheek? do you not believe that link can do that? your lack of faith makes baby kittens turn inside out.

Nice Stained glass

Another good episode - the shorter ones work better, trust me ;)

Well written, with an open ending, so that you could either end it there, or bring the "Shadow Link" back for more fights at a later date. Great stuff.

The fight scene was a nicely done event, and I laughed my arse off at the bomb. Who makes Link's pockets, as he can keep lit bombs in there?!

Did you draw the stained glass yourself, or did that come with the background?

Emptygoddess responds:

Why should i trust you? I mean really? you seem pretty.......... scoundrilish.

Still good

The series marches on and you've done well with the writing. I'm still impressed (as you may have gathered)

I liked the split screen effect you used for the conversation between Link and Zelda, it worked really well there.

Once you've finished this series, do you intend to use your sprite skills elsewhere? Perhaps a music video or two, staring your favourite Nintendo characters?

Emptygoddess responds:

The great thing about split screens is that they show two things at once.

NINJA!

Well, this is quite a long episode. I quite enjoyed this and I'm beginning to see the series progress. Maybe you should consider making the episode a little shorter, as there is the chance for the viewer to get bored in the middle.

Great sprite manipulation, well written and good use of backgrounds and fade to white for the flashbacks.

Can't wait for the next one... how long did it take you to make this?

[Review Request Club]

Emptygoddess responds:

Shorter? LONGER! EACH EPISODE MUST BE EXPONENTIALLY LONGER!

A good start

I love that piece of music - System of a Down, wasn't it?

Still, that aside, I quite appreciate your skills of sprite manipulation - I think you can make this into a successful series (Judging by the list of reviews requested, you have already)

Emptygoddess responds:

No. It was not system of a down.

A nice day was had

Firstly, may I thank you for the nice wish to start off my day. Are you planning on working any more music video collabs, because this one worked really well.

Personally, I loved the iPod advert ripoff, but you've all worked well, so don't hold a grudge because I didn't pick your work as favourite.

I can see the posibilites of this type of flash going for quite a while, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

ShortMonkey responds:

I guess I just have to make another one because of the encore. :)

Nice preview

I'm watering at the mouth with anticipation of what the real thing is actually all about - just what a preview should be.

You've done good work with the graphics and some great additions to the joke department have made this a flash to remember.

Just how long is it going to be before we see the finished article (and my review for it)?

Jimtopia responds:

Well thanks for reviewing. It's still going to be awhile before it's out though. Due to... lazyness. Lol, anyway, it'll get finished, just don't hold your breath yet.

Happy St Paddy's Day!

That was an awesome commercial for Guinness.

A neat flash, though where did you get that Irish accent from? It sounded wrong, even Scottish in places. Besides, everyone knows that real Irishmen talk only to fill in the gaps between drinking Guinness.

I loves the jokes you wrote on the subtitles, they reminded me of Hot Shots Part Deux. That leads me nicely to my question - where do you get your inspiration from?

I'm looking forward to the next instalment of Sherbert

Jonimator responds:

Well my family has alot of Irish blood, and I love st. Patrick's day and I love Making sherbert animations so there would be my inspiration, as for the irish accent, that was my irish grandfather doing that voice so I don't think you can be very critical.

ANYWAY, thanks for the review really appreciate it!

Great interpretation

You've got good vision to see this flash work out the way it has. I loved the choice of music and the animation style - they really flowed well together.

I'd love to see more of your work, possibly with other statements like "Why hide your wings when you can fly?" Will be be able to expect more of them in the near future?

BritishMoose responds:

Thanks very much for the review. I'm not in the EGC much anymore, so it's nice to hear from you after all this time!

I don't think I'll ever use statements like that again...if I do, I doubt they'll be as ambiguous as that one (it just came to me as I was animating so I added it in for good measure).
I am definately going to work on consolidating and improving the style and I am currently drafting another cartoon in a similar vein to this - using the same characters, but adding more depth and focus to the story (but not TOO much, I still want a level of interpretation).

Thanks again for the review. Take it easy ^^

Nice work

This is well thought out, well animated (mostly - I don't particularly like the jerky movements) and quite funny. I had the Refridgerator joke on the tip of my tongue and he screwed it up - priceless!

Is this to become a series, or do I have to wait for you to create another animation for a series? You've got good skills, so I'd be interested to see how it pans out.

Aeonstars responds:

If you want to see jerky movements, go back and watch my last flash lol. XD but other than that, I guess that's just my style and that sucks that you don't like because I'm going to make more than one other flash in that particular style. As to the question if this is gonna become a series... ;) you'll just have to wait and see. :P

-Aeonstars

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
