Stellar

This was a neat music video. You've done great work with the lip sync and it appears that you've learned from your earleir experimentations with flash. Needless to say I quite like this one.

Do you plan to do any further music videos? I'd love to see them, as it's amazing how different people visualise the songs in different ways.

every time I read this I think you said stealer.

Neat comic.

Interactive comics are opne of the things we don't ever see enough of on Newgrounds. I quite liked this one, as it's a difficult one to pull off, since you've got multiple artists with completely different drawing styles to each other.

You've come up with a nice interface for it, with the ability to skip back and re-read something earlier if the need arises.

Can we expect more of these at all?

Indeed, you may notice some real strange stuff on this, that is mostly becuse i had some problems opening my last save from my new update, kinda stupid of, well this may hapen again in the future, i didnt really mind doing this :)

Boring, but good art

I've never been a fan of loops. This has two - the music and the artwork. I am aware that you have made different layers move at different speeds to each other.

You've proven your skills with artwork (and in the preloader how to move them) so why don't you do something with them in time for Pico Day 2007 - You've still got almost 2 months to go (April 30th).

I do hope this is only a precursor to your Pico Day flash.

ShortMonkey responds:

Thanks for the review. I'll probably be making a Pico submission. Well, I better get to work. :)

Good message

That's really all I can say. You've given us a high quality slideshow, with a great mood tune over the top. There's a little text animation and the rest of it is just moving the pictures.

I'm not quite sure why this is necessary, as even though it may sound like me taking them for granted, the armed forces of the free world always fight for us and there hasn't suddenly been a major deployment. I'm not saying that they don't deserve our thanks for putting their lives on the line for us. They do get paid (a lot better than I do) for it, after all.

A simple flash really, but the message is more thanks than a tribute. You tend to give tribute to people when they die. Just thought I'd pull you up on that one as well :P

Zornkatzu responds:

Thank you for your very well thought out review!

I understand that no recent major deployment has occurred, but I made this yesterday after watching a news segment on the War on Terror. I had the day off school because of a Snow Day, so I set off to work on it.

Good point about the "definition of a tribute." Perhaps I should give my flash a new title! :)

Thanks again,

So many questions...

I only hope this series of completely random plotlines will eventually give us some answers.

Good animation, good voices (except for Graham, his is annoying) and a plot which is at the very least well written...

I could suggest bits and pieces for you to come up with improvements for the next part of your series, but I'd just be silly to - they're all plot variations, so you'd just ignore them :P

Murray responds:

You may or may not get answers about the random plotlines sometime. ;)

The Good, the Bad and the Docks

Personally, I can't stand anything to do with any (c)Lock parody. It's gone too far.

However, putting that aside, I have to say that some of the animation was good. Not the best I've ever seen, but certainly not the worst. I know that it's supposed to be a music video, but even so, you could have given some sounds to the menu.

Still, use you animation skills to make something worthwhile, rather thana cheap and shitty rip-off of the CC and LL. Please, you deserver better!

IZSBHR responds:

We are not just another cheap-rip-off.

We are different. I'm glad you think we're OK-pretty good at animating, but we won't quit the DD. Open your mind a bit, not all parodies are evil. We've had people attack our lashes because of it, though.

Needs working on

Sorry my friend, but I can't vote this up more, no matter what I think of you.

You've managed to prove you can deal with certain aspects of flash - movement and sound (music) in particular, although the whole thing together looks poor.

What you need is a voice soundtrack for starters and more than just coloured blobs representing the main characters. To make your background drawing more detailed, try zooming out and applying a small brush. It takes a lot longer, I know, but the results are worth it.

What will happen to Afro_Stud?

Well, we march onward with the saga of Bahamut's 2007. What a wonderful joke Afro_Stud played on you.

You do realise you've now given Afro_Stud an excuse to take over the moon, by throwing him at it.

That's F***** up.

Roll on next Saturday

[Review Request Club]

Murray responds:

Yes, he is on the moon and you shall find out what happens to Afro_Stud on another weekly short flash. Of course that's f***** up! :P Thanks for reviewing.

A good story

This is a realy valentines day heart warmer.

The animation is decent, although when the long shots are taken, the legs look great with the Xiao-Xiao / stick animation style, although the arms look way too wooden.

A well devised plot, which has become a classic love story. Do you plan more? If so, I'd be interested to see them.

[Review Request Club]

Kenzu responds:

I will continue my flash work, but I won't submit many love stories. I'm focused at a different topic.

PS: But love gets involved sometimes.

Who indeed

Well, you should look on the bright side. At least you got a card for Valentines day. All I got was sex.

Still, this is a good little flash - will this count towards your weekly submission promise, or will you be knocking up another one before Saturday?

Dammit, I wish I could animate and stuff... :(

Murray responds:

This flash doesn't affect my weekly short flashes, so I will be submitting my third weekly flash tomorrow. :)

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
