Not a bad start

I think that this game needs a little work - certainly putting in the number of laps that you need to race to win would be brilliant and maybe some timing to show how fast you can run this track.

Perhaps you can expand it to a championship of perhaps 3 tracks and change the mechanics of the opponents, so that some of them race better on one circuit, but worse on others - reflecting the human nature of the drivers.

It's not a bad game, although a little easy to win, if you decide to keep on the gas through the 90 degree turns and only just ease off for the hairpin. I think that you've made a nice start and that you can certainly take it further when you decide to start making the next of these style games.

yeah, if i make difficulty modes this will certainly be the easy mode, and if you play a few games you will see that the AI are slightly more/less difficult every time play.

Original, but with a twist

Not a bad spin on the original style game - I love the mechanics of how it all works with an eliptical paddle, rather than the traditional square one. I think what needs to be worked on the most is that the game tends to slow down just a little when the ball bounces off the target and the paddle, as it needs to calculate the angles, which is a shame. I'm not sure how to optimise this, but it might require a little sacrifice on the quality, or a better engine to run it.

The other thing I would suggest is an ambient background track to keep it all sounding nicely - with the way it works as a game, this could certainly help to complete matters like this.

Addicting and challenging

A nice challenge in this game - I really did struggle to adapt to the tactics of this, with the idea of moving the game forward and on to the later levels - I really spent days trying to get past Level 1!

Still, the graphics are great, the music is annoying and perfect for the kiddies and this game really does fit in that niche of being aimed at the kids, but with a deep strategic element for the adults who want to play.

I think that maybe a tutorial level would be an idea, as this really does take some work to get past that first level, when you don't really have much clue as to what you're doing, even if you've played other such games within this sub-genre, as a warm up.

I look forward to some of your other projects.

A new dimension

So we're getting deeper and deeper into the plot, with something new and the mysterious new character Ahtibat - gee, I wonder how long it took you to come up with that name ;)

I think the whole things is starting to take a nice shape as a well balanced piece, that develops the story well in the style of the Legacy of Kain Games, but it needs to work a little on the whole artistic side - once the drawing improves, the whole animation in itself will come on so much, it will hardly be recognisable.

Thank you very much for the review Coop83 :)

So it's badly drawn

You've got a quick snapshot of decent programming, with the well integrated sound and menu, you're getting there.

While I'm not sure about how the game itself looks, you've got a nice idea - try zooming in and using a slightly smaller drawing tool, to give yourself a greater degree of control. I like the way that the game interface works, and it shows that you do know how to make these things really work.

Yeah I'm not too good at animating but programming (menus, intros, credits) are right up my alley. Thanks for the review (check out the credits of next movie ;)

Nice game

Not the best in the world, but then again, I'm not really sure what sort of platform you're aiming for with this game. You're giving us the details on Joseph learning to be a Demon Hunter and this is basically his progress in the training from the theroy on toward the practical work.

The lip sync needs some work, as the voice for Matt was a new addition and wasn't compensated for within the animation.

I think that the gameplay was good, but I am struggling on the methods to defeat the bosses at the end of the levels, as I couldn't find any special moves for Joseph, despite what I was taught about the power of love for fighting demons and the only weapon I had was a sword - granted, all weapons are equally powerful, but this seemed like I couldn't get onto that particular level of skill. Maybe I was missing something, so I'll have to revisit at some point.

Yeah our friend did the coding and it was a one time thing as we are more about the story and click and play style games, Thanks for the review.

Lots of buildup

Ah, so this piece is building us up towards getting Joseph a certificate as a demon hunter and some real fun from going after the nasties of this sequence.

I like the way that you're giving us a good education on the mechanics of how demons, spirits and ghosts work. I like what you've done and how the whole thing has been set up as an organisation to rid the world of demons, who are clearly harmful to the place.

It doesn't go into the fact that the world is more about balance than good, so maybe that's where the failing is?

I think that combined with working on the drawing and maybe a slightly less linear plotline would be a huge benefit to this whole series, as you've certainly proven that you are capable of making a good flash movie and later a great game as well.

The only question I really had is that you don't allow the ghosts to fly upwards - they had to help each other through the air vent by climbing on each other - how come they couldn't just levitate up to the hole, as per traditional ghosts?

Getting to the bottom of this

I'm getting the hang of your style of puzzles and it's a blast, though I never really understood how I found the correct colour and style of flower, but I got it by luck. Still, the other two parts of the puzzle were difficult enough, so don't go changing the puzzle for my benefit ;)

A shame that we don't really learn anything new about the plot this time around, as I was starting to expect more depth of plot along with the piece moving towards a conclusion, but I'm hopeful that this can be made up for in the end, when we play out towards the conclusion in the last few parts.

I think that the animation has come on and the increased speed of Joseph moving does make a difference and that you're progressing nicely with this whole thing.

Missed the passwords

Not a bad quiz, with some quite challenging questions - you've really got a well laid out setup for this, with an easy-to-use interface and even the music isn't that annoying.

I would suggest that you have a time-out when the passwords are released, just so that people recognise that the ending of the section is upon us and that you can get back to here with the use of a password.

It's quite annoying, as even though there are some questions that you will not know the answers to, you can still click on each answer and get past the question, for a gain of 70 points - if that happens, you should penalise them more - lose 30 points for example for each incorrect answer, to attempt to discourage this sort of behaviour.

Other than that, it's a very capable game. Picture questions would be helpful as well, maybe throwing up a picture of P-Bot and asking what this bot's job is?

Uh... Okay.

Yes, this is have more logic but...

At Our NG quiz 2, yes pictures will be here.

PS - You're from this club too? OM*G

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
