A good start

Aside from the fact that this makes my eyes water, this is a nice start at a fbf animation.

I think on occasion you've drawn the lines of the arms so that it's a closed arm, which doesn't seem to work for me. It only lasts for a split second, but it's there and as a perfectionist, I'm against that.

The colour changes are neatly done and now you've worked the abstract crazyness angle of a flash, why not make it into something more substantial, like a story about screwdriver, for example?

I want to make a larger flash, maybe with a story, a better title, etc. But I am lacking ideas with this animation...

Thanks for the review.

Quick and violent

This a very fast paced flash. I quite like it, even though the axe blows weren't quite timed to the beat of the music, I still feel it worked well.

I'm not sure about the explosions at the end of the piece, as they just tended to be a little too numerous and also the detail just didn't feel right for me. Try zooming in, to give you greater control of the pen and you could make the flames look a little smaller.

Are you thinking of doing similar random flash at all, or is this it?

ShortMonkey responds:

I'm making a sequel that I think is coming along well. :) Thanks for the great review!

Few improvements on previous

Well, it's clear that you're learning how to use the techniques you need. to make this flash acceptable.

The plot is getting some sort of work, but I still have no idea how a chicken biting somebody could give them powers... that and Bin Laden growing up in a shack with Bush.

Where is Clinton going to be training Bush, the Playboy Mansion?

Still, even though the graphics are the most appaling I've ever seen, you've put some decent gags in there. If you worked on the sound, so that ther voices were a little louder and the music a little quieter, thus giving a balance, I'd be really looking forward to the next instalment.

Don't be afraid to take your time, people forgive you if you come out with a better finished product.

The chicken is a bit like Spiderman. The Red Chicken eye is alot like the Sharingan in Naruto. And we say the two rivals knew each other for a long time.

Playboy Mansion? Close! You'll see next episode.

The graphics were, actually, better than last time.

Gripping

Well, this is certainly something worth watching a few more times. I loved the concept of Gi-Go and it starts in a style that reminds me somewhat of Alien. I like it.

It's a shame that I had to put the quality of the works computer down to Medium, as it really does deserve high quality rendering, so that the flash can be watched in all it's glory.

How long does an episode like that take to make? I trust you are proud of your achievements with it.

I'm looking forward to hackers breaking deeper into the computer and discovering more information on Gi-Go, as while it is an informative file, it is also quite enjoyable to watch such grace... from a distance

Gi-go responds:

I wish you didnt have to turn the quality down, I alot of people dont have to, just the slower computers.

It took me 8 months to make this one, I wish it had more attention though.

Thanks for the great review!

New Conscience?

Well, this is a great episode. I've always been a fan of Blockhead and all of the simple protection points and review responses that come along with it :)

Wow, it looks like you've upgraded the graphics of the whole shabang, including what looks like a new illustration of the conscience. Looks awesome.

The plot is as off the wall as ever, still delivering us the laughs and unpredictable turns every second. It's an amazing roller coaster where we truly don't know what's coming next.

As always, I look forward to the next episode with baited breath!

The-Swain responds:

I am hoping that the next episodes will follow more of a story arc.

What?! A story arc?! Uh oh, Blockhead may have a plotline coming :(

Glad you enjoyed :)

Short and 'sweet'

Well, that's certainly an interesting submission. Where did Bitey's Head end up?

Still, the graphics were good and reminiscent of a low quality Bitey animation - something which I was impressed with and I'd be intrigued to find out the opinion of Adam Phillips.

How long do we have to wait for the next instalments to be introduced to us?

RSQViper responds:

Bitey's head sticks around for exactly 2 frames when he gets hit. It hets knocked clear off by the truck and far, far off-screen.

And my graphics are far, far better than Adam Phillips' graphics... NOT! But, hey. I did what I could, yes? =p

This also isn't something that is going to be in installments. This was just a trailer and an actual part of a longer (around 8 minute) movie coming out in the estimated late July time frame. Check out the Alpha link on the truck to see some more clips, pics and a writeup on the feature-length Flash.

Thanks for the review!

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
