It won't bring him back

Well, here we are with a slideshow of one of America's most well known advertising personalities. Possibly second only to George Forman, Mays devoted his professional career to promoting cleaning products, which has seen many different takes in other countries, such as Barry Scott in the UK, along a similar role.

I wasn't really thinking that the audio was very sad, in the way that you would put a piece for a eulogy. Perhaps it should have been some Michael Jackson playing, since their deaths have forever been tied together, but we know that Jackson will be remembered for a lot longer than Mays.

You could have at least done some animating to go with this, as you're capable of something that bears a little semblance of mourning or something similar to the piece.

I wanted to do something simple. Thanks for the review though.

An interesting concept

So are you saying that this nuclear device actually sparked the planetoid becoming terraformed? That's an interesting idea and if it were so, I think we should try something like that on Mars, in order to get off this rock, before someone uses conventional nukes and blows us all the way of Michael Jackson.

Still, rant over, this is a decent animation, though I would suggest you pay slightly more attention to the pilot's breathing apparatus - it looks like he's got some sort of beak-shaped helmet on, rather than a pilot's mask - there are some pipes missing from the front, which make a big difference to the appearance of the facial area.

Certainly quite interesting, plus the fact that the bomb mechanism doesn't quite work for me. A single payload would just be slung in the bomb chamber and would be dropped via an open hatch and a release from a grip, rather than the grip having to move into place. More simple mechanisms translate to less things that can possibly go wrong, so try not to over-complicate you animations.

Thanks for the tips Coop83.
most of it was just a random story that me and dave threw together.

Interesting views

A well thought out and quite subdued rant for the benefit of people who have been submitting a lot of animations to the portal since the sad demise (Yes, I'm a fan) of a loved, misunderstood and even tragic superstar.

In fact, I quite like this rant - it's nice and level headed and I do agree with most of the points. I'm not entirely sure about the motivation behind the way that some people approached making their 'tributes', but I can see that some of them were genuine and well thought through.

I think that you could have used some sort of Michael Jackson tune to keep everything in perspective here - something nice and mellow, like "The Girl is Mine", or perhaps something a little more zany, like "She Drives Me Wild".

Hey, you're the first person NOT to say it was too rushed! In fact, that it was "well thought out" (it was to a certain degree =D). I agree that not all tributes were bad, but such an overwhelmingly huge number of tributes were... basically the same thing.
And as for the tune, I really would've. I got so far as to searching up thriller on the internet (just for the pop idol bit) but didn't have the means to go and download it. Legally.
Anyways, I suppose maybe I intended this (although depicting Michael Jackson as it was the most recent and 'influential' death) for any time where masses of tributes are pouring into the portal. Thanks for the review!

Nice little collab

What a nice little uplifting piece - a happy-go-lucky piece of music with some pretty good sprite animations to go with it.

Special congratulations to TheShyGuy, who looks like he was the one to make the mini-game at the start. If it's not you, I apologise, but still, a very good piece of work, to keep the masses entertained for only a few seconds while this immense loading time for a 1.5 meg file to load :P

Interesting interpretation of how clouds are associated with rocket bikes that fire missiles at flying homes, still, I can't complain that loudly, it's all just a bit of fun.

What else have you all got planned for future release?

Elroy responds:

As far as the future goes, Im going to try to improve my own pixel art, and possibly do a short solo project.

A little basic

Similar to to DANCE!, this is a little on the basic side, though it appears that some of you guys need to work on walking cycles - especially the guy who did the fey character who didn't move the upper body at all and only moved the legs. It's not natural at all.

Some quirky characters there and it brought a smile to my face to see that someone had tried to do a Moonwalk. Brought a smile to my face after a tough day yesterday :)

It would be interesting to see how you could integrate these styles into your own animations, but I will look forward to seeing how they look when you're done.

Alright, thanks for your time :)

Pretty concise

I think that the jokes are pretty well thought out (or at least better than the games was :P) but you could have used some better recording equipment to sort out the sound issues - it was too quiet and a little muffled in parts.

I think that the drawing was a little rough around the edges and could be refined a little - try zooming in when you're drawing , to give yourself a greater degree of control over the cursor, so when you zoom back out, it looks a lot smoother.

The first normal review :)
As Ive said a few times the animation and drawing side of it was ment to look crappy :D
but still it could of looked better but oh well :D

Awesome

What a great little piece that you've produced. A nice way to introduce a new character in Fizz and stand firmly towards the new direction of your excellent looking animations.

I hope to see a prequel to this, detailing exactly how Fizz gained his powers over various soft drinks and the other powers he gains from drinking them. Good work by the voice acting guys and overall a very nice production. I can't wait for episode two.

A good bit of Chemistry as well towards the end, complete with the voice acting blooper from FatKidWitAJetPak - you've really gone out there to create some more of your "collector's edition" style works here.

Does this mean less time for Jim & Pals, or does this mean even more quality work from you?

Jimtopia responds:

It's funny you should mention a prequel, because that exactly what I was thinking for episode 2. Also, I hope to keep both Jim and Pals, and Fizz going for as long as possible.

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
