Too short

I think that while you've shown aptitude for this sort of thing, you really need to focus your attentions on it, so that the idea can be allowed to flourish. With the current tirade of submissions from yourself being spam, you do tend to give a wrong impression about the quality of the flash.

Personally, I can't say much wrong about it, although, the diversion toward the swastika in the one phase, plus the overall length of the piece being a little on the short side could both do with attending to.

Five? Gosh, you make me ashamed to be an Englishman.

What the fuck?

Well, as far as games reviews go these days, that's pretty good for the satire on how much depth the plot has. Does it really have all these holes all over the place, or did you just make that up to try and make me feel better for turning my back on the Xbox :P

Great graphics, as always, though I'm sure you could have stood to get the other characters in there from Cogs 1, as they did appear, but without any lines. Doesn't the pussy blonde talk any more?

And as for Maria, that's just wrong... well, at least he didn't decide to rape her corpse, or something, I suppose.

So, while it could have used some more depth on the plot line, I will admit that you seem handicapped by the lack of stuff that the game producers actually gave you. Any word on the next project?

I'm working on a few things..stay tuned.

Nice message

I have to say, I totally agree with the thoughts on how musical quality has declined since the 80s, but I would have to point out that it came downhill from the 70s to the 80s, before rising toward the end of the decade and remaining around that level for the 90s, before plummeting again. It will go through a resurgence, I am sure.

A nice animation, that could do with a little more in the drawing department, but you're learning, so it is getting there. With a few more minutes spent drawing, you will make the whole piece look a whole lot better - try zooming in and using a smaller brush size to draw your creations with, as it would look less messy.

I'd also recommend that you get a tablet, as this would help mightily.

Good work, keep working on it, you've got the ability to go far, don't waste it.

I was trying to go for a simpler style, so that might account for the large brush size, but i prolly should re-do some of the drawings...

And tablets cost money, which I have none.

Needs work

I think that the method of moving the character according to the beat doesn't quite work - I think that with the application of better drawing and positional awareness, you would produce a much more fluid moving flash. I think that the part with ther launch looked better than this starting piece did.

An interesting colour scheme, coupled with an amazing perception of how this space travel thing works has made a decent fist of this flash, but it's down to producing the drawings in a good style to start with, then animating them accordingly. I'm not sure about how you made the alien look, but overall the effect was decent.

Great episode

So this is some sort of Teen movie combined with Jackass, isn't it?

I love the way that you've mixed the music in, with the cue for the ddom-laden shopping cart and thrown in some nice 80s throwback tunes to keep the whole thing working smoothly with the detention, although I'm not entirely sure where that's from...

The animation is great, though the characters could use a little more pronounced movement of the knees, when they walk, as at present, it's not quite there for them. I loved the writing and the way that this plot escalates quickly from a dumb plan to the Principle and other miscelaneous school teacher's need / desire for vengeance / a peaceful school day.

I can't wait for the next one :) Great work!

The movie referenced is the teen-movie classic, "The Breakfast Club". I've already started work on mew FBF walk cycles for the characters that look much more realistic. Thanks, I never did think about how the story turns on a dime at times. Next one hopefully soon! :)

Good stuff

Quite a random little skit, but I can see the plot being about this misunderstood, if not entirely friendly little ghost. The only similarity to characters like Casper end with the look of the thing, but it works well, with a little malicious mischief thrown in there for good measure.

Some of the faces you've drawn look really weird, especially the nose of the kid who tried to throw the toilet paper, but got his own comeuppance. I liked that touch, I might have to use it myself against trick or treaters who infest my front garden on any other night than October 31st.

Now that you've got this start, you could actually take it further - edit this piece down to about 20-30s for the intro and then go with a series about a group of Ghosts, Ghouls and other such Hallowe'en fixtures, like Vampires, Mummies, Werewolves and anything else that comes to mind to fit the bill.

I'm sure you could come up with some sort of series based around them. The joy about this is that they don't have to be released just at Halowe'en, you can release all year and come up with a Halowe'en special, which is the big piece of the year for you.

Might need some voice acting if you're going down that route though.

I did base the character off casper, and boo berry.

LOLS.

Way too big

Now this might be a decent preloader, but you've got to consider how big it is - 9.6 Megabytes is huge for a preloader. Generally preloaders tend to be in the order of 100-150kB, as it's just not the main part of an animation.

Making it smaller would cost you some quality, so you have to consider how this will affect your flash.

Thracian responds:

The preloader itself is just 40kB, pumped up for testing. Didn't thought it would pass.

A decent start

I think that with practice, your animating style can come on. Did you use your mouse or a graphics tablet to make this? I will assume that you used a mouse, due to the way it looks. If so, invest in a tablet and the drawing will improve almost instantly. Try zooming in a little more and using a smaller tool to draw with - this will improve the detail.

The plot isn't too bad, but I think that it needs to be fleshed out a little more, just give some more detail into the scouting mission, what the base is doing on that rock, are they scouts, a mining colony, or something else?

Finally, the sound effects could be improved slightly - try to get the sound effects down to the same level as the voices, so when you activate some of the sounds, they do sound a little on the loud side.

A good start, I look forward to part 2.

SCUD14 responds:

Mouse, a little too sensetive but i can't figure out how to tone it down.

What i ended up doing was drawing the character outlines in a large brush, and zooming in for the details. Won't do again.

Backstory, I have a plan for. Thanks for saying.

Lastly, i'll be getting a graphics tablet for christmas. Then i'll start part 2. =D

If you feel so guilty

Then why do you bother to keep putting this stuff here?! You haven't come up with a plot, but you have managed to find a decent tune on the audio portal to present. It's a shame that the artist there has to put up with your flash attached to his piece, as you've put no effort in, when he has spent a good amount of time on it.

Less effort than the Adolf Hitler Pokemon flash, which is going a long way. Your drawing style is frankly appalling and you really could use some more practice with your drawing tools - more zoom in and then using a smaller tool. This would give you a better looking image, as when you zoom back out, there would appear to be more detail. Trust me, it works!

I've seen Wegra Adventures as well, I know you can animate, so take it further. Download some tutorials and learn how to manipulate your images better and prove to us that a little effort can yield a big result.

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
