Reminds me of a Haggis

The creature in question perched on the side of the mountain reminds me of the legendary creature, the Haggis. As you are probably aware, the Haggis has two legs shorter than the other two, thus enabling it to walk around the sides of mountains, while maintaining an even stance.

Still, what I feel I need to ask is how does Hitler go about training his Eevee? Does he get them to do precise drill, so that it can goose-step perfectly? Or does he just get it into hating us English types?

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

He does it in the usual fashion.

Lacks plot

Well, this flash really needs some work done on it. I'd start with a black subtitle bar running underneath the flash itself, so that we can see what each character says in the same place.

Next, your graphic violence needs a look at - when you blow a hole through somebody's face with a gun at point blank range, you tend to ahve something explode its way out of the back, with the bullet. The entrance hole is never a perfect circle, either.

Then there's the gun - you've grossly oversided it, so it just doesn't work. Over these few issues, there is some room for improvement and if we could see that, we would be onto a winner.

If you get a plot written and animated, with more sound effects and maybe even a voiceover, this could be in line to win awards at some point.

Thanks, I love constructive reviews. If I ever make another one I'll keep that in mind :)

Needs sound

And animation, for that matter. You've given us a repeating loop of the generic four movements for the characters. Sonic just disapearing from the scene offered us so much more - why didn't he just run off?

What you need to do is invest in a microphone - It would have been much better with the addition of sound, to go with more animations for the characters.

Also, the remark of Shadow "Broke N***a" micht be seen as causing offense, so you may wish to stay away from that all together.

I'll look forward to your next cartoon and offer a fair criticism, should one be required of that also.

knuxrouge responds:

Animation wasn't the centerpoint of the flash and the sudden vanishing of Sonic was deliberate.

I'm broke, so saving up for a mic will be pretty damn hard.

It was meant to be funny, no one so far has found it offensive and why should they if its directed at me?
Besides, for the record, I'm black.

Thanks for your review.

Attention to detail required

Well, it is a short and sweet Xmas production. I think that the animation is fine in itself, but for my tastes, there are a few parts, which need greater attention to detail:

Fine detail. Where you did a close up of the cow's leg, I noticd that there is a black line that runs over onto the background. Then as he comes down the stairs, I noticed a lot more of these. Granted, they were further away, but it shouldn't take you too long to tidy these up, because that would make the overall finish look so much better.

The other thing was the sound quality of the Link music, which you used for the opening of the box. A little static crept in here and it would certainly help to get rid of that.

Still, your drawing is great, aside from the detail issue and with a little more effort, we'll see some good stuff from you :)

Happy Xmas.

Imacow responds:

Thanks, I dunno I kind of like that little overline, it can make it look stylish sometimes.

Also, I tried realy hard to get the static out, but I wound up keeping it like it is now. Originally the sound was really messed up.

Thanks for the review, Merry Christmas.

Barbie?!

My god, I know the Pokemon was pink, but did you have to play some music from a girl's story disc?

Hope that you've had a good Xmas and that there is much success for you in the Flash market this year.

The year is almost over.

<3 Blockhead

Well, this is one of the best Madness day submissions I've seen, from the inception and the conclusuion of the preloader. Of course, it's not as good as Madness Preloaded for the twist to the preloader :P

Of the two submissions invaded, I think you did a better job with Blockhead - did you cut the voices from various episodes of Blockhead, or get Michael Swain to voice them himself?

The tankmen part was funny, with plenty of cock jokes and the What is love skit for Jesus and Clown, but with the voices a shadow of the original, it's a trifle dissapointing. Why is the clown portrayed in his traditional colours, if Hank gets made into Black & White?

[Review Request Club]

swiftstylerX responds:

Michael Swain did in fact do the voices, and he ALSO did the voices for the TANKMEN skit, because he volunteered and I wasn't in the mood to wait for Johnny to reply and get him to send them as well, when Swain was so eager to do them himself.

We weren't too sure what to do with the clowns colours, because we didn't know if people would recognize him without them. I guess it was just a gamble.

Thanks for the review!

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
