So where is this circus today?

It's a bit vague as to the location - I'm sure that people like Graham-Loves-Goatse are looking for Hitler to get his autograph, aren't they?

Anyway, this new evolved pokemon looks like a painted easter egg, with bunny ears and a tail that has been rammed into a 230V socket, before being connected to the National Grid. I'm trying not to say anything about Hitler and his fruity get up today.

I wish you'd go and do some proper animation and let these noobs follow you into doing something more worthwhile, like writing a better plot, for instance... You'd be like the pied piper of NG!

Is that too much to ask for?

These travelling circuses wind up all over the place.

Review #816

I was hoping for something more for a flash that ended in '83' to be honest. Still, I suppose that there is still 283 and 383 to hope for, isn't there?

I'm quite glad that a pokemon like this does not inhabit the UK, otherwise I'd have to go on a hunt just to get rid of the little fuckers myself. How stupid is the shape of this one anyway?

Aside from that, Hitler looks as if he's gone to the plumbing surplus store to grab himself a few bits and pieces for his disguise today - it looks like he's taken various curved pipes to make his tail and the tip looks like a ballcock (No jokes please, I've heard them all :P)

Does he get discounted rates on his makeup?

T'was a spring from a sofa with a buoy attached.

Nicely done

I like the way that you've made this piece themed around a particular movie. Airplane! is iconic and easily recognisable and you've taken some good quoites from the movie.

Of course, this opens up a whole cavalcade of movies you can use this for - Naked Gun and Police Academy immediately spring to mind. How about it?

Good manipulation of the sprites and good co-ordination of their movements with the sound track. Considering this is your third submission to Newgrounds, you've got it down to a good art.

I want to see some more, so make some sequels!

Ill try and find quotes from those to make it happen

A few points...

About the whole thing - it bears very little relevance to the song Snow, so why say it's a music video, why not just call it random imagery or something similar. The other main point I'm going to have to pull you up on is how you cut the song when it's not done. Music videos don't do that, so we're back to the original point of why call it Snow (Hey Oh)?

The animation was good (aside from the guy throwing up, that went on way too long) and you've got a good style. All you really need to do is find a decent script for a song and you're onto a winner.

I'd like to see more of your works, but the one thing about your animation style that I dislike is the thick black lines surrounding your drawings - make them thinner, as it makes the whole animation look smoother and there's a good incentive for you to get towards a featured movie.

Snubby responds:

well its a video that has music in it wihtout any like script or non music parts, so that makes it a music video no? also im not going to animate a 5 minute song, cutting it is a simple solution for not having to animate 5 minutes bro. and the name Snow was taken, so I used the full name of the song Snow (Hey Oh); thats what the song is called.

so yeah, stop reviewing things cuz it seems like your writing for the sake of writing... you dont know shit...

Were Bear?

So the Gloom / Bellossom Were Bear is available. Just pull the petals down and it goes from Gloom to Bellossom. Spectacular transformation, to be honest.

I'm not a fan of the music to be honest and your photoshopping / painting of AH isn't the highest standard. Another one with the .gif of the evolution, which seems to be becoming more regular these days, but since he has caught most of the base pokemon, he's got to evolve them for the completion of the deck.

Is Hitler doing anything special for Valentines day?

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Adolf knows that that day is a rather silly day and shan't be celebrating it. I'm sure Eva thinks otherwise though...

Scene breaks

I noticed your comments for why your project was completed inside a day on a previous review. I'd personally reccomend that you set out the scenes on some sort of storyboard and then use the scenes that are all set in the same place on the same day - you film in bulk and then edit them selectively, just like in Hollywood.

It's not exactly the greatest piece I've ever seen, but I feel that you are going to take some steps in the right direction, to give us better quality stop-motion films. I think that there aren't that many stop motion projects out there, so you've got a real chance of making that market your own.

Graeme responds:

I understand what you mean. And i definetly considered that afterwards. Maybe had some battles in different locations and stuff.
One reason I attempted this was to do something new. I like doing new things. And there aren't many Lego flashes out there.
It would be cool to hold my own place of recognition in a genre. But I think if i wanted to achieve that in stop motion, my chalk series is the path i should take.

Jaundice?

So now the Flaffy has grown tired of the Poodle image and has adopted the Janudiced looks of a wanabe Pikachu. Still with the wizards staff look for the tail and looking decidedly 'hard', considering the skinhead apporach.

Glad to see that we've got the animation on this one, but I'm not sure about the music - takes all sorts, to be honest.

Making the trip from Germany to America seems to have made quite a few changes as well - did the Flaaffy grow bored of the beer drinking?

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Strange how a sheep evolves into a lamb isn't it?

Judge Hitler?

So basically, Hitler has become a judge, complete with the powdered wig - even his moustache seems to be getting in on the act. Let's not get started on the way that the tail looks like a wizards staff rammed squarely where the sun doesn't shine...

The pokemon of this episode looks like a bastard offspring of a sheep and a poodle, which is somewhat disturbing to say the least, particularly if it follows six nations rugby, as the France - Wales clash would be quite disturbing.

Where was this episode set, as usually you give us at least some information about where in the world they are (See above France and Wales references)

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

The same place as yesterday (Altlandsberg, Märkisch-Oderland, Brandenburg, Germany).

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
