One Ring to rule them all

Well, this has certianly fulfilled one request of mine - getting the evolution from Teddiurse into Ursaring. I'm glad to see the animation part, when you get some evolution going, as you've given us little else in the animation stakes. (Yes, my reviews are carrying a theme :P)

Where was this one set, as you've not told us. Perhaps some sort of map at the start, just pinpointing roughly where you are would help us geographical nuts out.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

You weren't told where Adolf has travelled to because he hasn't travelled anywhere. He's in the same place as yesterday. :P

Mascot of Pakistan?

Well, I'm not surprised that this pokemon looks confused. Some Orc from Lord of the Rings has run up to him and painted a crescent moon on his forehead.

Nice to see a gesture of solidarity from Hitler, as he dons the same paint scheme for one night only!

Although cold at the moment, Canada is still nice at this time of year. I really should start making travel arrangements... right after I start making more money, that is.

Is this thing going to evolve like a werebear? I'd love to see it turn inside out, mainly because that would give us some sort of animation for a change!

[Review Request Club]

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

It evolves from a teddy bear into a bear. :)

Sneasel?

Is that some sort of Weasel with a cold? I have no idea why this thing has feathers up its bum, it must help to keep the warmth in, because everyone knows about the insulating qualities of feathers.

Could have done with animation, but I believe that we've gone over this before. Bring back some evolving pokemon, for the sake of my sanity!

We had snow over in my region today. I laughed until I had to drive through it, it was that bad.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Sounds like there were a load of Sneasel running rampant in Worcester.

Good animation - needs more plot

This isn't bad from the animation / sprite manipulation point of view. You've shown a good grasp of the techniquest needed to get the look right, all you need now is the writing to add some enjoyment to it all.

Let's face it, this submission is little more than a glorified fight scene, so if you can take it further by explaining why Mario and Samus are fighting, it would certainly be appreciated.

PicosGhost responds:

Thanks a lot Mr. Coop! I like when people compliment the animation. It makes me happy! :P. That is precisely what I'm working on in my sequel though, making a storyline, and making it all fit together.

You're right, and I agree with you 100%. This is a glorified fight scene, padded with a bit of dialogue and action. I'll do just that in the sequel, as I've said before, and I hope you all appreciate the work I will have done with it when I finish.

Crosses on Good Friday :P

It looks like Hitler has been on the Viagra for this disguise - he's turned blue and the antenna looks decidedly stiff :P

So this Heracross looks decidedly like a cross between a giraffe necked weevil and some sort of transformer, although I'm not sure which one...

For improvement, I'd certainly add some curvature to the main antenna, just to go along with the way that the real thing looks. I'd also add some animation, but we're going to ahve to agree to disagree on that point, I think.

Animation is the root of all evil.

Up periscope!

What the hell is that thing?! It looks like that one buzzing ball toy that kids used to play with. Some sort of knobbly ball that vibrates all over the place, much the the amusement of confused kids.

Anyway, this has to be one of Hitler's more bizzare costumes - he looks like an egg out of Super Mario Brothers combined with something like Geoffrey from Toys'R'Us again. Maybe the plastic replica doll, before he has his spots painted on.

Winchester, KN seems like a nice place though - not that I'm planning on taking any holidays soon, but it still looks interesting, so long as it's devoid of Pokemon, that is.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

The place is swarming with the bastards.

Back to the colour argument:

What I was saying a few days ago is that your Hitler Disguises have not corresponded to the image of the pokemon that you've supplied us with. I don't have the will to go and trawl through the internet page by page to find the search result that matches your chosen colourscheme for Hitler's Scizor look 2008. What I'm saying is that surely we'd avoid this whole thing if you gave us two images that correspond to each other in the flash.

Anyway, rant over, on with the review!

We've got some animation again. Without a doubt, the best part of the flash, as there isn't really anything else to speak of (Maybe with the disguise, you've given me a headache, by confusing me over the perspective of the horns. I look and they're twisted - the right hand one appears to point forwards, while the middle one is straight up and the left one looks like it;s going back.) Like I said, it's probably just my perception, so I'll let you off.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

I like to use the most recent artwork for the Pokémon in question, whilst giving Adolf the original colouration. If you wish you may view this as Pokémon coming in various shades of colours (which they do), much like with animals in real life.

Not bad

Not especially good either, but we've got something to work with, at least.

What we need to start with is the spelling. It's spelled Senor, not Senior. There's supposed to be an accent above the O, but we an ignore that, as it's not that big an issue, unless you're of hispanic origin.

You need to add more detail to your drawings - they have the basic shape and colour, but that's about it. More details will keep the viewer interested, so throw in thigs like the occasional tuft of grass (Maybe stripe it, perhaps?), some randomly shaped clouds and you're getting there for the outdoors scene.

The girl needs more practice on the drawing front. From my point of view, she looked a little angular, except for the boobs, which you apper to have studied in minutae. Plump up that waist a little (I'm talking miniscule adjustment here) and maybe her bum as well. Perhaps do something with her hair - darken it where it's got wet? Have some stray strands run down her back.

I hope that's given you something to work with.

Interesting

There's certainly some scope for variation with this 'alternatively abstract flash'. I quite like the way that you get various breaks in the scenes, but I feel that the best way to get the impact there would have been to change the tune slightly.

The graphics are a little cartoony for my liking, but I can live with them - especially the way that you flash it into what the goat is really up to, as it's either good experience, or it's good research :P

[Review Request Club]

Graeme responds:

The cartoony feel isnt for eveyone. I feel the same way about other popular flashes. You just have to really enjoy what you see, and that's just now always the case.

Round and spiky...

Well, this is an unusual pokemon, with the background actually being vastly more interesting than the pokemon or indeed Hitler's ever-changing disguise.

Where exactly are the Marshall Islands? I'll have to make my girlfriend's dad aware of them, so he may consider going for a dive there and giveing us some time alone in the house :P

Still, the disguise was pretty spot on today, for a change. The colourscheme was interesting, with the contrast of the two colours and the spikes just added an extra dimension. I'd hope to see from your by now vast experience of drawing a little attempt at making some three dimensional imagery with Hitler's cutting edge disguises.

[Review Request Club]

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Maybe your girlfriend's dad could come back with a Qwilfish or two. If the song is to be believed, they are rather delicious.

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
