Uncle Alice!

Appears to be the only bright spot of this flash. There's no animation, so I'm still not happy and of course there was the attempt at making Hitler look like the Remoraid... At least that's what I think he was aiming for.

A good background and a well displayed and good clarity image of the pokemon. More animation is required and I'm ghoing to continue being a bitch about the lack of it here :P

Never.

Double Nelson!

Well, we've managed to reach the 222 mark without much hassle, although we haven't even reached the halfway point of your series yet.

I'm a little skeptical about hitler's disguise for two reasons:

1) Shouldn't he have inflated himself somehow, possibly with the use of a Sumo Suit?

2) He appears to have a phallus protruding from his forehead...

Could do with some animation for the next one - if this thing ingflates itself too much, it might explode. Now wouldn't that be sad for Hitler to lose one of his Pokemon like that ;)

Corsola isn't a porcupinefish, it's a piece of coral.

Good fbf randomness

Most of the Frame By Frame productions that I've seen tend to be considerably more random and the authors tend to get bored, leaving these to tail off. Yours, however does not do this.

I liked the way that you conveyed the random imagery, but in a controlled manner. This borderline chaotic flash has been given some much needed direction for a rather abstract tune that you've tailored it around.

I'd have liked to see it quite a bit longer, because you've started well, but with a longer piece of audio, you could take this much further.

VegetarianMeat responds:

I think the reason it wasn't completely chaotic and random was because I took REALLY long breaks from working on the project, so when I came back I had a fresh mind (if you know what I mean :P).

Thanks for the review :)

New techniques, great results

Another great submission from you Peter. I always love seeing your submisions, as you've got such a simple, but very effective portrayal of the tune.

I love the outlines that youv'e used here and the identification of the characters by the colour coding is such a neat part of the movie that I wouldn't dream of asking you to use anything else. The buildings and the radios / TVs / EMPs were really well conceived and animated.

I liked the homage to TRON that you put in with the motorbikes, it worked really well in this technocracy, as it has obviously become a society dominated by technology.

I look forward to your next submission.

Jimtopia responds:

Thanks man. I was pretty proud of this cartoon, and I thought the EMP's turned out pretty cool as well. It took me awhile to get'm right, but it was worth it apparently. And yeah, you caught me, the bikes are based off the TRON bikes, I figured someone would notice eventually. Anyway, thanks for the review. I appreciate it, as always.

Hairy Japanese Bastards!

Well, Father Jack's sentiments seem to exemplify this particular flash in all of its, ahem, glory.

The mount seems an adequate choice, given the insulating qualities of all of that hair - it would seem to make him the ideal lapdog for Cousin Itt of the Addams Family fame.

Hitler seems to suit this disguise, for a change, with his almost cute little pig nose :P Animation is almost adequate, but more is required to sate my appetite!

WAKE UP!

The cold weather means that this is one of the laziest pokemon that we've seen so far on this journey. Epic in length, rather than anything else, truth be told.

When you get so far south, the scenery tends to calm down and make for such beautiful moments as this. How about we get some signatures from Adolf Hitler and maybe some cheap postcards made? I've made it my task to find ways of trying to convince you to animate in these items. Once you've found a formula, you can improve upon it, by adding features like that, surely.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

The only episode to feature anything additional will be Gardevoir.

Almost makes me want to go... again.

Well, this is a decent advertisment for the country of France. I really wish that you'd gone and sorted out some lip-sync, as it would have capped a funny, reasonably informative flash off for me.

I'd have said that there are slightly more places other than just Paris - Normandy beaches, where the English, Canadian and American Forces came in to save french sausage, cheese and wine in the second world war. There isn't much after that, save for them winning the world cup back in 1998.

I'd have just dragged it out slightly longer, giving a little bit more information (especially about how the french like to surrender, rather than have their beautiful city razed to the ground by the Nazis)

Hashnoerej responds:

Well, of course there's more places in France than just Paris, obviously. But for one I didn't feel like making up more of this stuff and just wrapping it up as fast as possible.

Good stuff - needs more animation

So the only thing that this flash is really lacking is a good amount of animation - that bit in the middle with Linkin Park and that Emo Crap that the Monkey was listening to was just lip-sync. After a while it gets quite samey, so you really needed to add something else, like maybe some dancing or some flashing lights.

The rest of it was good - funny jokes, a well developed plot line and some good drawing from yourself. Might have done with adding something like Freddy walking towards the gallows or something, while Sunday, Bloody Sunday was playing.

I look forward to your next piece - bring back the monkey!

ShortMonkey responds:

Gotta love the monkeys! Thanks for the review and critics.

OMG!

The moustache has changed styles! This is a world first, since before Adolf Hitler was a late teenager. Tramlines as his moustache style is wierd and I've never seen anything like that before, so what gives?

At least the dollop of lava now has something to make it look like it is trying to be anthropomorphic - the shell gives a nice bit of detail and also something for Adolf to play around with in his disguise. I liked the flame as an extra touch, it works.

Glad to see the evolution animation, it makes the whole thing seem almost worthwhile :P

[Review Request Club]

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

The moustache hasn't changed style. Like yesterday, it's partially covered by some lava-snot.

RBF Rocks!

Unfortunately, the rest of the flash is lagging so far behind, the almost stone-aged background seems to suit.

What is this tune by Reel Big Fish called? I've heard most of their tunes, but I don't recognise this one. Name and album please. (I'm guessing 'You Got The Fire Tonight')

Hopefully, from the ashes of this flash, a new, improved flash will arise, showing us that this pokemon has evolved (with more animation than you can shake a tiny stick at) into something more befitting of a man like Hitler :P

Shouldn't this particular pokemon be friends with Zipperfish's own invertebrate of the year, Slugger, the co host of their award winning series, You Are a Fucking Moron?

[Review Request Club]

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

The song is called 'The Fire' and is from the album 'We're Not Happy 'Til You're Not Happy'.

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
