Randomly funny

I looked at the start of this and thought "Oh god, here we go with some shit", but you surprised me. I can't really understand what Spiderman is saying, but some of the jokes were so randomly funny that it didn't matter. For example, 'necking' MJ like that was perfect.

Some of the animation was a little off the wall, especially the facial mutation of that head on Johnny 5 from Short Circuit (Was it John Goodman?)

Now see if you can do something seriously, but still funny. You've got animating talent, let's see it put to good use!

SteamTusk responds:

Indeed that was John Goodman. It isn't important what Spiderman is saying, what matters most is the visual impact of the actual animation. The style was purposefully simplistic, much in the same way that Terry Gilliam of Monty Python fame purposefully cut pictures out of magazines to make his animations. My intention was to take the reality of a tangable analog to the real world perform actions completely fictional. The stark white background was intended to contrast the spectacle occuring in the foreground.

Appreciate your review. I've been getting alot of insightful feedback on this, but for a first effort I, myself, couldn't be happier with the results.

As for the sound quality. I recorded the voices through a pair of headphones. (Trust me, try it and see.)

Simple Lampoon

It's not really the most special thing that I've seen and it certainly has more animation than Afro_Stud's Adolf Hitler Flash (Just about). Now all we need to see is some purpose of this flash and a plotline, as it's clear that you can animate and integrate music, so sounds and even voices shouldn't be a problem.

Even if it is only here, the April Fools Day banner of PooGrounds will be immortalised here for all to gaze at in wonder.

Why is the guy riding BlueHippo? Surely that's a little gay.

gumOnShoe responds:

Rig riding BlueHippo is exactly what it is, Beuaty incarnate.

Yeah, the animation is minimal, but I at least put "some" effort into it. Good news was I didn't once loose interest in the project

Happy Birthday BlueHippo (again)!

Ah, it's always good to see some special birthday flash for a friend of mine, despite the fact that I have to wait 364 more days for my next Happy Birthday flash :P

How many BlueHippos is it possible to get in a picture without the occurence of pne pink elephant? I guess it's 2.5, because there weren't any Pink Elephants in this one and Hitler obviously doesn't count as a whole Blue Hippo.

One zillion.

Classic Alice

Seriously though, I didn't see this one coming. I'd have never guessed that you were going to use that song until I saw the disguise that Adolf Hitler was using.

Goodyear or Pirelli?

I thought that the pokemon that was featured today looked like a tank, so I'd have suggested the Tankmen Theme by JohnnyUtah, as it may have fit in well.

The good part about the animation tonight is that it really shows how much of a difference there is between the evolution forms of this particular specimen. Still needs more animation though, like exactly how it gets to be evolved, rather than positions a and b on the evolutionary track.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

The flashes in the TANKMEN series are the worst flashes in existence. They're so bad they make these look good.

Happy Birthday, BlueHippo!

Well, aside from the gratuitous violence, which we were sadly not privy to and the rather scary highlighting of BlueHippo after the flash, this was awesome.

I have to admit that I did spill a bit of my drink when I was watching this in the office, technically breaking the rules, but who gives a shit.

I liked the joke that BlueHippo killed Wyvern, I did get it wrong, as I thought he had gone and slotted EmoDragon, which would have been funny, since he is such a good friend of Fagamut's.

So, who's the next person that you are going to wish a happy birthday to?

Oh shit, lol! Perhaps you shouldn't watch my flashes while you're at work. :P

Who let the Elephant...

...Into the first aid cupboard?! He's covered in plasters and he's made a real mess of the bandages as well.

Right, we need more animation, I've finally got my bathroom rug back, so no whinging about that. How about a special episode when Benito Mussolini tries to stop Hitler from catching a pokemon? Or Winston Churchill, although it would mess the series up, as he'd have to keep that pokemon away from Hitler.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Not even for your birthday. >=)

Rock on!

I wish you'd have asked me - I've got plenty of live Alice songs, including this one, with lead guitar from Slash. Is this the actual track as taken from Guitar Hero III?

It's a shame that the beard has changed really - I've now got a full goatee again, with a bit of a point as well, for maximised evilness!

A shame that there wasn't any mention of Alice's obsession with Golf - he's got himself quite a hobby there, with a handicap of around 3 shots. What's Hitler like at golf? Probably quite bad, with his stiff arm and everything...

In response to AstonNextGen, I'm not a Lawyer, but I am training to be an accountant.

kinggila responds:

This is the original one, not the one on Guitar Hero III. I can tell by the sound effects at the end.

Hitler's a master at golf. I never heard of Alice Cooper's obsession with golf. :o

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOP!

I had wondered

When I was going to get that rug back. The only problem is that we've had the bathroom redecorated, so the yellow colour doesn't go well with the blue and white colour scheme that we've replaced it with.

Still, thanks for bringing it back to me, I'll have to put it up on eBay and maybe some dragon will purchase it for a grossly inflated price.

Ironic that I was wearing a Cricket related T-Shirt in the picture of me that you used. As it's my brithday, I'll let you off from a barrage of abuse about why you should animate much more in the series and its spinoffs... a little.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

I'm sure you can find another use for it. :)

Happy birthday Coop83!

Nice tribute

And it's all true! With the exception of me having gotten Bender's Big Score for my brithday, although I haven't unwrapped the present that my girlfriend got me yet...

Nah wait, that's something that I'm not discussing on here :P

It's been a good birthday, so keep an eye on the news post and there should be something there for all you Coop lovers!

Who would be callous enough to hold a gun up to Bahamut? He's the world's favourite dragon, he is good and benevolent and not at all like his evil twin, Tiamat.

You could have asked me to voice the parts, but I'm sure it would have ruined the surprise for me. Thanks Bahamut.

[Review Request Club]

kinggila responds:

I hope you enjoy Bender's Big Score just as much as I did. :)

I don't think I have any evil twins, but I certainly have evil clones!!

And yes, that was my idea. I didn't ask you for the voices because it would ruin the surprise for you. :)

Thanks and HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOP!

Well designed and presented

This is a nicely made flash that makes me look forward into the next episode. It could have done with more development of the plot, as with the file size, you could have got us to the completion of this tale at the very least.

I think that the character traits have been well explored this time and that you've given us a nice insight into the character of Larry as a whole, with his penchant for talking to himself and passing it off as the horse talking back to him. Mr. Snuggles was a nice addition as well.

I'd like to see how he handles himself in a fight, as he could be super badass, but no-one ever gives him a chance due to his physique and obvious deficiencies socially. Alternatively, he could just suck at that as well, which would be such a cliche :P

Let me know when the next episode is out, I'm interested in finding out the end of the tale.

Cryomancer responds:

We've split the overall story into segments, some are longer than others but honestly we didnt want to commit to much to the first episode as its kind of a pilot.

But now its out, we've started on Larry II and will continue with the 6 episode series.

As for how Larry handles himself in a fight, he certainly brags a lot about how strong he is but seems to lack confidence at times. Either way, he's hunting down the dragon....So we'll see what happens soon enough!

Thanks for leaving a review man, glad you enjoyed it!

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
