Awesome vision

Some of the stuff there really made me wonder what I've been smoking recently (Particularly the epilepsy waring black and white flashing scene)

I loved the crossover between your character and Phillip J. Fry from Futurama. Is this guy's name Yantze Fry? You've done a really good job with all of the madness going on in a controlled sort of way, since it wouldn't be total chaos if everything we ever knew did turn out to be wrong... would it?

Colonel Sander's head was another part that I liked - the mouth movements were so over exagerated, but the lip sync was perfect.

Any other Al animations you'll be bringing to us?

I'm thinking my next Weird Al video is gonna be "I Remember Larry"

But I don't know when I'm gonna start that cause there's a lot of original stuff I want to do too. :)

A long way from Great

I think this movie gets such a good score on the basis that it is made around the song. As for the animation, it really needs to have a lot of work done to it, to make it a good production:

1) Spellcheck. Lots of words in this flash have been spelled wrong. Type them out in any word processor and use a spell checker function, it makes the whole thing look so much better for so little effort.

2) Research. If you had a look, I'm sure you'd have noticed that the Amish wear a specific type of hat and that you could ahve drawn that above your sprite character. "And my Homies agree, I really look good in Black" doesn't mean that he'd look good as a negro. The Amish wear black.

3) General layout. At the start, you just carried on milking the cow, rather than doing an animation for ploughing a field, which to me is just lazy.

Put more effort in and we'll see about getting you put into the collection as one of the featured artists :)

Nerd-02 responds:

thx for the help but

1) most of the spelling is right (some words were spelt wrong for a laugh)

2) Like i'm doing research!!!! XD also i know what amish people are. And i kno what they meant by "look good in black" it was a joke get it! look good in black...and hes black...but they mean clothes black! haha?

3)i liked the milking the cow animation. it looks like he's "milking" the cow. another joke. maybe i should make the word "JOKE" flash on screen when i'm making a joke so you know when to laugh.

and i'm probably not gonna get into the collection because "everythingyouknowiswrong" was submited the day after me -.- and i kno that my flash isnt as good as that, but common!!! its way better then a pic of mayonaise!!!!

Very Funny

Loved the reference to Offspring's "When you're in Prison" at the end of the episode.

This was a really well done piece. Before I watched it, I was skeptical, as things which cross the fourth wall, bridge the gap between so many different productions never seem to fare well. This one is different, as the jokes are funny and they make so many references to avoid plagiarism, by dismissing it as research.

Of course, Hicks are always easy to pick on and I could view it as a cheap shot, although I'm more content to focus on the jokes from places like Back to the Future, which you must have really loved to make a tribute to it in such small fashion.

How long until episode 6 comes out?

Pigmash responds:

Good, its about time somone mentioned the Prison song at the end of every episode..
And since an episode called "Pumpkin Pie" came out about 3 days after this one, it'll be a little while before episode 6 comes out, depends how quickly I can make a 2nd Christmas Special...
Glad you enjoyed

Could use some fine-tuning

Well, the concept was certainly one that's been done before. However, with a little fine tuning, I can see you making this into a decent movie.

1) Zoom in while drawing, to give you greater control of the cursor and help you to draw more rounded figures. Maybe consider buying a graphics tablet?

2) Make a black space underneath the movie pictures. In this, type the subtitles, as it saves you a) animation space and b) makes them easier to read. Perhaps consider an 'advance button', which would allow faster readers to skip the text when they've read it - some gaps were too long.

3) Soundtrack - maybe add further tracks, like something with a pumping base beat for the combat, as the track you used wasn't something I'd ever consider for a fight between two men - not even camp men.

4) Colour - A change of colour for one of the guys help tell them apart during the fight.

Hope you work with these changes and I look forward to seeing the second episode.

More detailed...

...Than your other Clock Day entry, I'll grant you. This one was too damned short, but it did have some endearing points:

The characters were detailed nicely - not over the top, like some artists this year and at least you have made an effort. The pitch of Speakonia was changed, so that each clock who spoke had a 'different' voice. Both of these are definate boons for your piece.

I know you've got creative talent, so start now with your 2008 piece! Put some effort in and come back to us next year with something based around that awesome camera pitch that you had. Maybe with a plot, we'll be onto something worthy of note in the collection!

FattyWhale responds:

yeah, I really should have put more time and plot into a movie next time. I just don't like Flash that much!

Random Clock Day Madness

Well, as usual, it's a poor flash that gets voted up to about 4 by the masses. Still, I'm not here to criticise that (much)

The drawings of the Clocks for me weren't detailed enough, as they were so small. Make them a little bigger and zoom in when you draw to get more control of your drawing implements.

What I'd also suggest is that you don't just use one speakonia voice - use one for the narrator, then one also for each character, so you get more of a feeling of the story, rather than a rushed children's tale, as this came across.

See you next Clock Day

FattyWhale responds:

watch clocks adventure of love. That's why I made this

Eh?

Well, at least it left me with a better feeling than the real Harry Potter movies, I suppose.

Not taking the grey box from around Strawberry was the main bugbear in the animation department, not that I can say that the rest was so much better, though.

Voldemort's arrival was way too voerdone - the glass smashing noise was as if someone had just bulldozed a warehouse full of greenhouses and the whole "WTF Story" part which lasted twenty seconds was both unnecessary and extremely annoying.

I hope you come up with something better for Clock Day 2008

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
