Dark and Moving

Well, that's certainly stirred up something within me. I love the way you've worked it and the flashbacks / soft focus has been used really nicely. How long must we wait for the next instalment?

What I've really got to ask about your animation style is really how have you missed a fine detail to do with the feet of the Assassin? When someone walks, there should be flexing between the toes and ball of the foot. Watch someone walk for you and you'll notice. The assassin's footsteps looked like he was walking with two wooden legs, which isn't pretty. That's the only real fault with your animation I can find.

I look forward to seeing and reviewing the first episode proper of this series.

Now you've got a decent excuse to go on a rampage dressed as Fagamut and make everyone hate him :P

Trust me, this is a lot better than Afro_Stud's 400,000th flash, which was just a picture of a penis and some white noise. Thankfully, at least you remembered how to animate.

CONGRATS ON 555 FLASH REVIEWS!

Also, that flash was Muffin/BlueHippo's, not Afro_Stud's!

Nice flash

This is a pretty neat way to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The predominant red and yellow theme makes it seem very dedicated to the Chinese Flag throughout, which is symbolic and patriotic.

I think the song is slightly repetative, but since you didn't write it, I can't complain to you about it, really.

I noticed you made it generic to all Chinese New Years, rather than waving goodbye to the year which has ended and welcoming in the new one which has started (Or the symbolic animal that it is associated with) Perhaps you did not consider this in the creation process.

I have to agree that none of the tunes presented are anywhere near metal. Slipknot and KoRn are just "Yelling into the mic with a heavy, guitar intensive backing track" They call it metal, because it's convenient and it sounds vaguely like what real metal does. Linkin Park, while slightly better, in my opinion, I have very little idea what to call it, save maybe "Rap-Guitar"

The chainsaw really shocked me, I wasn't expecting it. A nice surprise, nonetheless.

kinggila responds:

Even nu-metal artists claim that nu-metal isn't a metal genre. And yes, the chainsaw, people can get killed for saying such things. :(

Short and sweet.

I quite like this one, it reminds me of the one joke about a miser talking to his wife, who offers him a penny for his thoughts twice and he talks about their marriage etc, then the third time, he replies "I was actually wondering about when I'd get the two pennies you owed me already"

The layout was very similar to your others, therefore a very simple piece. Returning characters make it familiar, but the genius is in the joke itself.

Look forward to the next one!

Lol thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Much the same as 3

This episode really only came up with one new thing - an object for the two sticks to play with. Personally, I think it was far too bulky for a pencil, but since I'm not the animator, I don't really get much say.

From the point of view of the viewer, I'd say that the pencil could do with being longer and thinner, so that it fits better. Possibly a splash of colour, which would bring the piece to life, so to speak.

I said about the subtitles in my last review, I'm hoping to see more improvements in the next edition.

Getting better

The slideshow has now become more detailed, which is encouraging. I think it needs more points of work, but we're getting there, slowly.

I think that the next major thig you need to make is a Black "Subtitle Bar" at the base of the picture, as the writing jumps around the screen. Granted, you've typed it this time, but it's still a niggle.

The drawing of the stickmen themselves needs to be ramped up a little - more detail, not quite such a bulky cursor used to draw the figures and I think we're amkign progress. Other sounds and maybe more of a plot would be useful as well...

Expect a call from my lawyers...

...you lazy bum! So I noted that the music comes from Kingdom Hearts. I think that's the most endearing factor of this piece, to be frank.

The animation really grates against me, as I feel that it's a style that I could easily accomplish - and I have no talent in that field, at all. Some of the writing is a little difficult to read and it flashes off the screen before I could read some of the words - they weren't written in the best fashion.

I'm hoping that the next few episodes will do this justice.

Why didn't you just rename it "Casualty's a bastard who wants to ruin NG through NGLOG!"?

It's quite a funny flash, especially the way that you didn't notice that you'd got 22,000 experience and level 46 - I know the feeling,a s you're checking your stats at first thing in the morning.

You portrayed Casualty as quite the dastardly character - maybe you needed to add a spot of metal over the top... if you were saying such bad stuff about him, perhaps a spot of Trivium?

Because the title is too long. D:

"perhaps a spot of Trivium?"

Casualty ain't here to ride bike, he's here to cause havoc on his very own site.

Well, I loved this piece - from the Game Boy-esque start screen to the little skat of Graham trying to catch a pokemon in the background.

I'd love to see what it looks like from Graham's point of view, just to understand why he's busy trying to catch them all, rather than trying to make Bahamut's life hell, as usual.

kinggila responds:

Graham wanted a Caterpie as his starter Pokemon.

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
