I've seen better

But on the other hand, I've seen a lot worse as well. In the early going, this flash seemed a bit 'stuttery', where the music carried on, but the animation stopped for a few frames, which was weird - perhaps you've got some additional frames in the animation, which you don't need.

I think that you've got a good talent for drawing these things - particularly the head that came up and then consumed itself to nothing - it was quite detailed and added a lot of depth to the production, despite its randomness.

Perhaps make a fbf with a plot line, as without it, you just keep submitting random stuff, which is good, but it's limited. Once you take that next step, you've got one hell of a ceiling to shoot for.

thanks very much for the input!

Not bad

This piece needs work, when compared to the traditional Madness series that we all know and love. What I think you need to concentrate on here is the tweens, so that the movement looks more fluid. There are plenty of tweening tutorials available on Newgrounds, so have a look and see what you think.

Also, I'd make a few subtle changes to the actual animation itself - the boobs look weird on the girl, so maybe tweak them slightly - no laughing at the back there! - so that they don't appear independent of one another. The other major thing I'd do there is have the agent slide slowly down to the floor, as the force of the explosion is no longer pushing him into the wall, so allow him to become a slave to gravity once more.

It was a little short, but it did contain the spirit of madness, so you really can get there with it - push for some more effective rooms and maybe add some sort of plotline - perhaps something that makes it different from the original series, but gives your own spark of genius. Perhaps something like there's a rogue computer program that has possessed one of the characters here. Maybe Pico got into the system and started messing stuff up?

Needs work

This piece is quite rough around the edges and it will need some work to become more fluid and workable as a finished piece. Good marks for effort though, as it's a start.

You will need to write a better plotline to survive with movies like this, but at least you made it past judgement, so it's heading in the right direction. Perhaps have some of the soilders talking to one another about having someone special back home, for example, before being shot down.

When you come to drawing, try zooming out a little, before using a slightly smaller brush to concentrate the control of the pointer, when you try to draw. Also, you could draw with a tablet, because that gives you much greater control overall.

The one thing I have to say about when the world leader was shot, the cross hair pointed straight at the leader's throat, not at his head 'dead eye', as they say in the business. These little details can make all the difference to how things are perceived.

Thank you for the extremely long comment, that really helps me improve.

Tempting providence

A great little short in the series, proving that Tywo and the gang are just too cocky for their own good from time to time.

I love the way that you've concentrated on the long shot of the town, though perhaps it could use an additional few bits and pieces of regular people milling around, doing day-to-day activities, just for some variation.

A great production, as always - I look forward to some of your longer episodes, which will give us such comedy fulfilment that we have come to crave.

Thanks, they think they're cock of the walk, well they're cock of NOTHING! :P I'm glad you liked the town scene, I spent two freaking days drawing it. Half of it was wondering which angles and whatnot. Fun fact: I only have one person visible during those scenes, he's running down the street right when the biggest meteor slams into the foreground. :) I'm really glad to see you guys looking forward to my next work.

Great Promo!

A nice way to grab people's attention, when you think that they will see the massive potential that this series has. You've written it well and have produced a pleasing arrangement, giving us the basic outlines of each character, which will only be developed in further episodes, which I'm looking forward to watching.

I think maybe you could have given us some of their vocal samples, to make it more like a trailer, so you can read a little more into the parts that they play.

From my limited experience of this series, I think my favourite character is the Elder, as he's old, cunning and still quite a badass with that walking stick of his, by all accounts.

Hmm

The simple, yet complex animation style that you use certainly marks this as on hell of a way to enjoy a flash movie.

I like the way that you've set it out - randomness, but with some organisation into a plot line that from time to time makes absolutely no sense, but for the most part is highly entertaining.

Perhaps the episode was a little longer than I'd expected, but it certainly came as a pleasant surprise. The drawing style looks like it's been inspired by various comic books of the 60s and 70s, for example Calamity James, which go into extraordinary detail, compared to most contemporary drawings of the same type.

How long did this take you to animate? with the look as it is, I'd say somewhere around 3-6 months would fit the bill, but I wouldn't exactly be surprised if you said longer.

22 days actually! We're on a tight schedule to get this series rolling!

A little rough

A good display of crotch kicks that brought tears to the eyes of the masses.

I think that some of the pieces needed just a little more work on the sound quality, as there was more than just a hint of static every now and again. If this was dealt with, this piece would be so great.

I think that there's a good mix of pieces here and my favourite has to be Camron's DragonBall Z takes, which really made me cringe, especially the final one.

Perhaps some more originality could be encouraged here, as I felt there were a few too many Mario references, which did make it a little repetitive, so branching out a little would be a great boost for this flash.

One damned fine cliffhanger

Again, a new awesome episode of this truly breathtaking and defining series. Not only a real education when it comes to expanding one's vocabulary, but also a veritable triumph of animating genius. The plot is something very special, that has clearly been worked on and this still clearly continues to go from strength to strength. The animation is strong as always, laced with the classics of blood and gore, but always with new ideas for weapons that can be used.

So we see the ever evolving cast gain two new allies for Hank, a major boost for Hank himself and something weird happening to the spirit dude, responsible for the death of Jesus (or was he? :P)

I really can't wait for the next episode, as we move into the 10th instalment of this story. It has to mean that Madness Day '09 will certainly be one to remember, for a start.

I love the way that you've started to give facial expressions to some of the new characters as well - even though one of them is definitely dead, we had ourselves quite the comedy double-act that no successful story should be without.

Pretty Neat

I think that you guys have spent quite a bit of time collectively making something slightly random, but based around a city made of pixels - a shame that you didn't have some sort of plot line to work towards, as I was thinking that it was going to be something along the lines of 'Sin City' in the first place.

Kudos to Jimtopia for having the best style here - drawing something and then making it look like pixels rocks for you, my good man :)

I'd certainly like to see some story lines within the city of Pixtropolis, so that gives you guys good scope for a sequel to this fine piece.

A little short

It's not a bad little video, but it could do with a few minor changes, just to steer it in the right direction:

Rather than throwing out cheap imagery of Michael Jackson, why not give us something that we can relate to a little more, as the guy trudges through the cityscape? You could do with making the movie a little longer, so why not have him walk past groups of people, who point and laugh at him while he's walking past them, as the 'You're Pitiful' rings out across the flash.

I'd concentrate on finding a better quality audio of it, though I appreciate this piece can be difficult to obtain for a while, considering that it was never authorised by James Blunt's record label - might want to give a sarcastic thanks to them in the credits ;)

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
