Great sounding tune

A lovely sounding piece, this has got the perpetuating sound of the beat. Even when that fades out, there is a melody or a counter melody that keeps the tune going nicely, without the song losing some of the overall character.

I love the way that the guitar sounding piece comes in and blends in so naturally with the rest of the dance-sounds of the keyboard.

The pace is wonderful and I think that the only way to make it better would be to either add vocals or a guitar solo, just to add even more variation to this piece.

Thanks for the great review Coop, i like to see that face in my reviews because i can always depend on you for great advice :). Peace bro

A little mellow for Techno?

Not a bad tune, but with my experience of Techno, this is surely a little on the mellow and relaxed side of things. Perhaps you could have used a more powerful bass beat and then taken the tune 'to the next level'.

The tune does have a good selection of sounds and variation, though I was hoping that you could have given it more length and added an couple of additional vocal samples, as this would really have contributed to making the tune even more.

Great ambience

Quite an epic cityscape comes to mind when I hear this piece of music - the point of view is from someone walking into a massive city and seeing the towering buildings from below just pass by .

I think that there's a definite issue with static on the louder ends of the notes, which needs to be dealt with slightly in remastering. It's a nice calm track with a good blend of drums, synthesised rhythm and a good sounding melody that keeps the whole piece moving forward nicely.

Perhaps a little more variation could be incorporated rather than just a little bit at the end of the track, as solos tend to work better as a part of the middle of the tune, rather than a fade out piece.

LightKeeper responds:

Entering a new genre for the first time is never easy. :p I think the static may have developed when I upped the volume in the mastering or you may be hearing the saws. I don't really know to be honest. I love your insight and imagination when it comes to the song. The ending part wasn't really a solo either, but I'm glad you still liked it.

Thanks for the review. :)

Not my thing

I'm not sure about this tune - it just sounds strange, but I think that there needs to be more variation in the music, while making the voice more uniform. Conforming to the generic norm of the electronica genre, you'll give yourself a much better chance of being noticed within the piece.

It's quite a sad piece, with the male voice sounding like Stephen Hawkins and it's something that I can't shake off - the feeling that it's him saying he wants to die, which I'm sure really isn't the case.

It probably could have done with more of a beat, to go with the ghostly sounds that you've given us for the majority of the tune.

Lovin' it!

Well, this piece immediately put me in mind of the Futurama episode where they flew to the edge of the universe and looked through a telescope into the parallel universe. I can imagine a space ship flying through the emptiness of space towards the final goal, chasing what looks like an unimaginable goal - the edge of the universe and possibly of space-time itself. I wonder what we will find there...

Still, the music has a great tempo and it carries itself through the beat and doubles up for the melody, which sounds similar to a synthesised harmonica, which I quite like. The counter melody is a real boon, giving a boost to the track, as it starts to become bereft of variation, so it has a shot in the arm as required.

I love the modulation, as the track drops down to a much lower tone and everything seems to become nice and relaxed, ready for the final push, then it builds up again and we're off!

Great stuff.

Yes, yes, indeed...

Synthesized harmonica, I like the sound of that.. xD

Thanks, I love making transitions as epic as possible, It's almost what makes the song, from my point of view.

Thanks for the review!

Good sounding

This tune has got quite a lot of good sounds in it, especially the driving piano sounds in the solo and the melody that you chose to use. Brilliant effects that compliment the entire piece, which is a subtle blend of electronica and a more classical sounding piano.

I think that it was a little too loud - the notes top out with some static in places - particularly on the bass and the piano, which takes away from the piece slightly. Work that out and it's a perfect 10 from me.

The bass is loud, but i like it :D

Good sounds

What a nice sounding track - the beat that carries the track along and the melody on the piano that compliments it so well.

I think that the addition of some extra drums would be beneficial to the track, as it's a little short of the thud of bass at present, but without adding too much, a few extra drums could bring you to where the track seems to want to be.

The piano solo is nice work, but perhaps with the counter melody, there would be a part in the piece where you can perform a solo for that instrument as well?

SessileNomad responds:

ussually i do make my drums much mroe complex in order to create a more hectic feel, but i was kinda just bored when i made this so i kinda just left it as it was

ive actually never experimented with countermelodies, i think ill give that a try in the next track that i make

thanks for the review, and a good review as always

peace out

Good beat

Nice vocal samples used to make this piece an enthralling piece of audio. I like the melodies, counter-melodies and the beat, as they all seem to mesh together really nicely.

While it can get a little repetitive, the tune itself is still good - I think that it means that you need to add more variation and use this to carry the track for a while longer.

Bracksta responds:

ya, man i think i'll use some solos to mix it up. thanks bro

Not bad

I think that the repetitive 'stuttering' of the sounds tends to pull this track downwards - it's a very nice Industrial piece, but it could be so much better, by reducing the stutter and getting on with the tune itself. Don't get me wrong, I can see where you're coming up with idea of using of these sounds for the track from, but it just seems a little OTT at the moment.

A good driving beat and a decent melody / rhythm with the rest of the track. I think that you've got the potential to take this much further in the next incarnation of this track.

IDK if I want to make a redux of this, but what the hell, I might try it sometime. Thanks for the review

Inspirational

A lovely tune that kind of reminds me of the atmosphere at the start of an episode of Cheers. It's a cosy atmosphere, where everyone knows your name and no-one talks about that time you got caught by the cops in the park with your trousers around your ankles.

The brass (or was it organ?) addition to this piece sounds so nice and calming that it just helps to keep the tone one of a calming and mellowing disposition.

I think that the twinkles were a nice touch, though I'd have recommended that the drums were brushed, rather than struck, this would give a much calmer sound, especially to the symbols and the snares.

Will responds:

Thanks, I'm glad someone liked the bell sound. I'll try and procure a good brush sample :P

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
