Sneasel?

Is that some sort of Weasel with a cold? I have no idea why this thing has feathers up its bum, it must help to keep the warmth in, because everyone knows about the insulating qualities of feathers.

Could have done with animation, but I believe that we've gone over this before. Bring back some evolving pokemon, for the sake of my sanity!

We had snow over in my region today. I laughed until I had to drive through it, it was that bad.

Sounds like there were a load of Sneasel running rampant in Worcester.

Good animation - needs more plot

This isn't bad from the animation / sprite manipulation point of view. You've shown a good grasp of the techniquest needed to get the look right, all you need now is the writing to add some enjoyment to it all.

Let's face it, this submission is little more than a glorified fight scene, so if you can take it further by explaining why Mario and Samus are fighting, it would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks a lot Mr. Coop! I like when people compliment the animation. It makes me happy! :P. That is precisely what I'm working on in my sequel though, making a storyline, and making it all fit together.

You're right, and I agree with you 100%. This is a glorified fight scene, padded with a bit of dialogue and action. I'll do just that in the sequel, as I've said before, and I hope you all appreciate the work I will have done with it when I finish.

Up periscope!

What the hell is that thing?! It looks like that one buzzing ball toy that kids used to play with. Some sort of knobbly ball that vibrates all over the place, much the the amusement of confused kids.

Anyway, this has to be one of Hitler's more bizzare costumes - he looks like an egg out of Super Mario Brothers combined with something like Geoffrey from Toys'R'Us again. Maybe the plastic replica doll, before he has his spots painted on.

Winchester, KN seems like a nice place though - not that I'm planning on taking any holidays soon, but it still looks interesting, so long as it's devoid of Pokemon, that is.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

The place is swarming with the bastards.

Back to the colour argument:

What I was saying a few days ago is that your Hitler Disguises have not corresponded to the image of the pokemon that you've supplied us with. I don't have the will to go and trawl through the internet page by page to find the search result that matches your chosen colourscheme for Hitler's Scizor look 2008. What I'm saying is that surely we'd avoid this whole thing if you gave us two images that correspond to each other in the flash.

Anyway, rant over, on with the review!

We've got some animation again. Without a doubt, the best part of the flash, as there isn't really anything else to speak of (Maybe with the disguise, you've given me a headache, by confusing me over the perspective of the horns. I look and they're twisted - the right hand one appears to point forwards, while the middle one is straight up and the left one looks like it;s going back.) Like I said, it's probably just my perception, so I'll let you off.

I like to use the most recent artwork for the Pokémon in question, whilst giving Adolf the original colouration. If you wish you may view this as Pokémon coming in various shades of colours (which they do), much like with animals in real life.

Interesting

There's certainly some scope for variation with this 'alternatively abstract flash'. I quite like the way that you get various breaks in the scenes, but I feel that the best way to get the impact there would have been to change the tune slightly.

The graphics are a little cartoony for my liking, but I can live with them - especially the way that you flash it into what the goat is really up to, as it's either good experience, or it's good research :P

Graeme responds:

The cartoony feel isnt for eveyone. I feel the same way about other popular flashes. You just have to really enjoy what you see, and that's just now always the case.

Round and spiky...

Well, this is an unusual pokemon, with the background actually being vastly more interesting than the pokemon or indeed Hitler's ever-changing disguise.

Where exactly are the Marshall Islands? I'll have to make my girlfriend's dad aware of them, so he may consider going for a dive there and giveing us some time alone in the house :P

Still, the disguise was pretty spot on today, for a change. The colourscheme was interesting, with the contrast of the two colours and the spikes just added an extra dimension. I'd hope to see from your by now vast experience of drawing a little attempt at making some three dimensional imagery with Hitler's cutting edge disguises.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Maybe your girlfriend's dad could come back with a Qwilfish or two. If the song is to be believed, they are rather delicious.

Where are Tom & Jerry?

Granbull reminds me of Spike, the bulldog in the classic slapstick comedies of the 70s and 80s.

I'm not entirely sure of the style that Hitler has for the disguise - the teeth look like they have been taken straight out of a surplus supply of Warhammer Orks halowe'en costumes. They probably retail at about 80 pounds each, so even if they are painted pink, you might be able to get some decent cash back for them :P

Where were we this time? It looks similar to Chatsworth House in Derbyshire, which is getting worryingly close to my own home...

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Hampton Court Palace.

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
