2 things. 1.all you need is a deity whistle niw :D
2.how long it take you to get gold in general? i can hardly find flash that i can blow the whistle on at all!!! it annoys me.
I've never really been desperately interested in getting my whistle upgraded so high. When I did go through a 2 week phase of wanting points for my whistle, I went to the Where is / How to forum and looked for the Rage's Gift to you: Abusive Reviews! thread.
That thread has a lot of links to abusive reviews, but I was lucky enough to catch a user who had about 500 abusive reviews and flagged most of them, before they were deleted by kidray76.
Technically, it took me over 3 years to reach Gold, but in the grand scale of things it was probably about 1-2 months.
Now that we are in 2008 (for quite some time)... new post?
I may well have to make a news post - slow internet connections today mean that my priorities have changed today.

Haha, sounds like a brilliant time. I especially love how things get much more dramatic as you all start playing pool. I'm the same, can't resist a good game of pool. I'm also looking forward to cracking open the case of Carling that I got today. It's going to be a good Christmas.
