I never really understand cricket.
I've been around cricket pitches for 25 years now, so I've picked it up. Watch Twenty-20 matches and you should be able to get the gist, if you're willing.
25 YEARS! wow i'll never really get into the sport but I did watch a few clips of it on youtube and got a little interested just the way they bat is weird.
Yeah, my dad used to play, so I was taken along to watch him with my mum and occasionally my grandparents. It kind of grows on you and I've no intention of giving it up.
I wouldn't say the bat is weird - there's a sweet spot there, just like on a baseball bat - they call this the middle, where the wood is thickest and the ball can really fly off there. The ball is heavier and I've seen it hit almost as far as a baseball (400+ feet) at out standards of the game, when the mighty heave is a "cultured shot"

Yeah, the one armed bandit is the slot machine - that's what I was getting at. I'm thinking either a massive winning streak on 1 in 1 or getting the jackpot on standard 1 in 100
Oh... Didn't know that. Yeah, just click handle for the slot machine repeatedly and eventually you'll get the medal. Alice is dead 3 was if a bit disapointing.

This News post has went from Your season of cricket to you teaching us Cricket 101 pretty much. Which now I have a question, what are the wodden type post behind the batter?
The stumps - three at each end, capped by two bails, which bridge between the off (furthest from the batsman) stump and middle and then the middle and leg (nearest to the batsman) stumps. It is the bowler's job to try and hit these with the ball, while the bat tries to score runs by hitting the ball and running 22 yards to exchange places with his partner.

Yeah, just never shaved after the meet and it just kept growing back. Perhaps by next year's meet it will be 6-8" long and just a large point :P
How long did it take you to drink all of the contents in the bottle?

I haven't opened the bottle yet - you can't rush a bottle of fine scotch.
The trophy is on top of the sideboard in the lounge. I am very impressed with it. I have to say that it's the most impressive trophy to gather dust in my career so far :D

Yes, we won a shield for the Invitation Cup and I'm sure that we will be presented with the league trophy as well, before our presentation evening on the 25th of September. I'll try to get pictures for you :)
