Funny, but...

I think that a little more could have been made from the madness inside jokes, especially with the stereo. Getting the birdie song redux going and the madness starting from there would have been hilarious.

With the communicator, there wasn't any disruption on the pictures of Onions and Snowballs - making it look a little more like it was from Metal Gear would have been great. The little details make the piece that much more enthralling.

Still, it was funny, with the gag of the teddy bear and the way that you put your own twist on Madness, so don't think I'm being totally negative. It's just that I feel a little more input gets a lot more output.

Ah yeh, disruption and fuzzies would have been a nice touch...
I'll be sure to do that if I ever do something like this again. XD

Thanks for the extensive review. :D
I really appreciate it. :))

Good song, decent application

Now if only Apple would allow Flash onto their hardware - then you'd be able to show people this animation on your iPhone :P

There were a few issues here with the animation, but it's similar to your rodent one - a little lacking in the animation and it looks more like a powerpoint presentation, with the way that aspects of the images slide across into the shot.

When you animated the "I-P-H-O-N-E" chorus line, perhaps it would have been beneficial to make the letters on a standard LCD (calculator) screen display out of the phones? Just using them like that would have made it easier to read, since I had to listen to that part a few times, before I realised what was being sung.

With the iPhone itself, why not just have one main colour for the background of the apps and then change a few pixels for the detail? It would make it look good, if it's moving, or if you're planning on stationary phones which you can see, perhaps create some spoof icons for yourself. Newgrounds would be simple, but going on a Google Image search and taking some 46x46 icons to use would help as a cheat, surely.

Not bad

I think that there was a little confusion generated, when you put the same picture for Karate and rodent in the "super agent rodent school" big finish.

With the way that the music sounds for this piece, you've had to put the bar up quite high for the piece to do it justice. Sadly, I think you've fallen short, mainly because this has appearances of a slideshow in places - more animation would help you out and give a better descriptor for the piece in itself.

As research, I'd suggest a piece called "scampi", by TheWeebl - this had similar methods, but used a bit more animation, plus it was a self-written and performed piece of music. Don't be afraid to use different pictures and to try to push the boundaries with your creativity. You're clearly good enough to do it, it's just a case of confidence over procrastination.

Simple and effective

While this piece is an interesting one, I feel that you need to take it slightly further and make a series about this skeleton, kind of like how they did for Hypnotoad in Futurama.

The animation seems kind of loose for a skeleton, but without all of that supporting tissue, you would expect some problems to get in the way here and there. Maybe it's just the outlines that make it seem like the forearms are bending as the skeleton moves them?

The music was a good choice and the background sure does give you a headache after a short while, so I guess congratulations are in order for that.

excellent review! I did make the forearms bendy, I couldn't resist. Your suggestion is tempting, but I don't this skeleton will be reappearing any time soon... :)

Nice

I think it could do with a voice, but other than that, this seems to be a little basic. I know trolls out there that would get $110 out of this scheme. Simply touch her breasts with the troll's face and then get the $100 from the other guy as well. Troll saves $10 for not having to pay to feel the woman's boobs.

I guess that you got your inspiration from the troll physics thread on the BBS, so there are plenty more inspirations there for you to have a go at. If you can make a short series of these, I'd be really interested to see what you can come up with.

The way that the troll's "hands" seem to be shoelaces, it makes me a little uncomfortable, as there is little time spent on that part of the animation, so it takes a little something away from the piece.

you're the king of troll, sir.
Thx for review, i take your remarks.

Tony Stark :3

Wow, what a reception this game will get if the gameplay is half as good as the cartoons. It's the series we love to meh, Marvel Vs. Capcom and the horrendously convoluted "what if" scenarios that come with.

I love how you've captured the essence of Downey Jr's Stark and have also gone the way of the womanising. A shame that you couldn't have included Pepper Potts though, as we all know that he's in love with her... well, as much as you can be, when you're in love with yourself.

The sitting down in the armchair with his boots off was genius, though I'd have said the idea of the steaming boots lying to the side of the chair would have been slightly more appealing, though I do know that in your style, less is more.

The way that you've considered the muffling sound of the visor being down as well, just shows how genius this understated little piece is.

Laid "bear"

Well, you said it, when at the end, you asked "watch this shit again?" It was rather.

Where to begin... Well, the spelling was where I needed to start, since the word "bear" should have been spelled "bare" in the opening. He wouldn't make shoes with bear hands, as bears lack the manual dexterity for such a task, while bare (ungloved) hands would be what craftsmen use.

Right, onward to the animation - the door and the book cover both looked very thin and as a result didn't quite map properly - particularly when the door shut and it rotated along an axis that isn't where the hinges are. Working on making that sort of mistake go away would improve your animation so much.

The elves all unfolding from one another, much like a string of them you can make when you fold a long strip of paper up and attack it with scissors. Again, that didn't work and you'd have been better off getting more elves appearing from other angles and locations.

The plot is limited, but not completely hopeless. Give it a shot and see if you can come up with something else that sets the script on fire.

Thanks

Wow, that was awful

You've made a half-decent loop, then added no animation to it, to try and get more of a boost for your audio. The effort would be commendable, if you'd made an animation, as opposed to some looping graphics that consisted of a one colour background that changes from time to time, while the text in front pulses, possibly in time with the music, but I couldn't begin to try and follow that.

Seriously, if you want some acclaim for your animation skills, try setting something up where you have an animation of maybe someone dancing, some sort of interpretation of the music going, rather than just a flashing background. The only thing you seem to have interpreted here is the program's name - Flash. It does do other things, you know.

More effort required all around.

zzbtbest1000zz responds:

This movie was made in 8 minutes, so why are you taking it so seriously?

Racism with a bow on it.

Wow, it's so polite, it's funny. The fact that Black people are probably the most racist people I know ("I'm not racist, look at the colour of me!") just makes this even funnier.

Yes, it's Black History Month, where all of White America (or at least those in power) try to look sympathetic to something that they couldn't do, but their ancestors did and had they had the chance to, would probably have done, except it was made illegal.

I'm not a fan of making a big thing out of all of this. Sure, there is a time and a place for it, in history lessons and books, so that we learn from the mistakes of the past, making the future a better place to be. The animation itself could have been a little better - have you considered annotating this piece with pictures, or even some animation of its own, as opposed to just the text being written? What about a pencil that moves and writes these words that are being said?

The voice was pretty good and with that, comes the fact that your animation does let it down a little, but with practice, you can improve what you've got here, no problem.

Krutches responds:

thank you for the review, I was going to add a hand and pencil that moves where the letters are written, but I just was lazy. I think that this would've been a better audio submission then Flash video, since my animation for this was done quickly.
Thank you for the review! Best one I have ever recieved.

Is that it?

Well, you've got an audio sample of Justin Bieber for this piece, but there is little to choose between that and the other episode of "Painis Cupcake" that graced the portal earlier today.

With this kind of gag, I'd actually like to see it crop up in one of the Dual Force episodes somewhere down the line, but if you're going to pull this gag, I wouldn't recommend that you submit two of these gags on the same day.

Again, as with the first, the blood splatter needs to be worked on, as does the lip-sync. With a little fine tuning, this could be good and perhaps having some sort of melodrama to get Painis to the scene of the crime, before he chows down on the face of Justin Bieber. I'm just not up for one shot gags, unless they are side splittingly funny. Sadly, this was not one of those moments and by building it up, you might get more than just a smirk from me.

Twisted4000 responds:

These "These Painis Cupcake Eats X" videos were originally meant for YouTube. They were to entertain the ones who hate YouTube celebrities.

I didn't just make these videos all in one day, they were all uploaded on my website and YouTube months ago, but I just decided to upload them all at once on Newgrounds.

Of course, you can only upload two a day, and that just makes it look like I'm animating a few every day.

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
