Hmm... no.

Sorry, I'm not in on this one - a shame, because your repertoire was brilliant, promising and then poor, to be honest. You set the bar way too high with your first piece and it kind of fell apart towards the end of this year's collection. We know you're capable of a lot better.

There's a lack of plot here, you've changed one piece of the picture to say "fags" and the image of Hitler is hardly very animate. Perhaps give some audio from one of his ranting rallying speeches in Nuremburg, or somewhere and animate everyone's favourite dictator.

Again, so much potential is on show, but you're not cashing in on that potential. More work is necessary, to reap the rewards that are available to you.

Speakonia <3

I love how it fluffs names with a 100% inaccuracy - this machine is fantastic for faux pas like this that make the episodes where it is used bearable.

It's a strange story and it really incorporates all sorts of art in the piece, though replacing them with meme pictures was a poor idea - stick to changing them for something like B, or StrawberryClock taking a dump, or the pube muppet getting caught wanking over SBC, for example.

It's good, but more potential to be great than actual fulfilment of this potential.

Donovan improved this!

Wow, by the usual standards of clock day, this could easily be considered one of the hidden gems. The start was more "traditional" for clocks and it really does show where you came from, historically, though I thought that Tom was actually CarrotClock :P

When the Donovan piece started and the credits rolled, the true animation shined through - the drawing style is crisp, neatly finished and it gives a very good presentation to every clock that you showed us there, even ThorClock, who has a bit of a reputation.

I kind of wish that you'd applied this sort of drawing style to the Pube Muppet, as it's been done before and it really gives a great look to him and somehow makes him even more depraved. Yes, we missed the voices with this piece, as somehow the clocks aren't the same without them, but you have to live with it, I suppose.

BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB!

Well, what could I really say? This was one of the pieces that takes the simple concept of B and gives it a new, but not necessarily original twist. There's only so much you can do with a single letter in red on a white background over 10 years, I suppose.

Happy clock day.

Well, what can I say. There has been some requests to continue this series, so here's the 5th part.

Maybe I can submit the final part in 2017? This would be 10 years after the first part.

Well, it was for Clock Day

So, this is a piece, regarding the most infamous flash in the history of Newgrounds. Some have gone on to offend more than B, but none of those have spawned 10 years of anniversary celebrations... yet.

You might have gone on a little to mention that SBC was a really talented animator, that everyone loved. Through his inspiration, people took up the tools of Flash and created their own works, hoping to emulate his wonderful style, panache and writing abilities.

The penguin was decent, though I was a little concerned by the speakonia pronouncing "2001" as "20-01". Surely it should have been two thousand and one, correct?

[Review Request Club]

Haggard responds:

Yes, but Speakonia didn't pronounce "2001" correctly. Maybe I should've just typed it out as "twothousandone" instead of typing the numbers.

Glad you liked the penguin. I didn't draw it in quite a long time and my drawing skills just suck. So, usually I can draw the penguin much better.

One thing remains

When I look,
And I find,
I still love you.

Touching, well delivered and with the usual clock crew off-the-wall madness in the middle there, we can all have a laugh, even at a poignant song like that, where I just go back to think of the god among homosexual singers that was Freddie Mercury.

Your animation style seems a little rushed, to get it all finished for today, no doubt, but then in the end, yiu have produced a decent effort, save for the ending. I'd work on tidying up the lines and making parts of the animation smoother. Is the clock supposed to have a triangular clock face, or is that to show sadness? If it's sadness, try curving the lines a bit, so it looks more emotional, rather than kitsch, like the 1970s clocks that your grandma used to bring back from Bulgaria, or somesuch.

The colour scheme was impressive, with the shades of grey - the only song that would have gone better with it would have been Whiter Shade of Pale, but that's getting too far into the metaphor, I suppose.

I'd like to see more and I'd like to see more polished pieces from you, you've got the talent, it would be a waste if you didn't use it!

wrenchclock responds:

A man after my own heart i see, Freddie is the greatest.
Yeah it was kinda rushed haha, i was kinda busy with college work and a feeling of not-being-bothered. The clockface is triangular to fit in with the character of Triangleclock, the star of the movie. The colour scheme and Triangle's costume are directly based on the actual music video for this song by Queen.
Overall thanks for the feedback Coop, hopefully i'll have more time to make something for christmas :)

Happy Clock Day!

A nice mix of voices, music, animation style and panache. It's not what I'm used to expecting from you, but over the past few years, you've really diversified.

Did you pick Lorenzo Lamas, because he starred in something called "renegade"? Or was that just a happy coincidence?

The way the animation comes together, it certainly lays down a marker for all those of us out there wanting to make a less cartoony looking piece and something a little more serious. The deep voices and the dark setting, plus things like the choice of wallpaper give a lot to this piece, that could hardly be expressed through more traditional Clock Crew animations, speakonia voiceovers etc.

Well done, I hope to see more of these two.

[Review Request Club]

StrangeClock responds:

It's no coincidence that Lorenzo Lamas appears in the same toon as RenegadeClock, though originally all he was going to do was say "hey" and then not be referenced anymore. Then he became the spindle of this dramatic tale! Thanks and happy Clock Day!

You also should have made a medal for approval, which was something like you clicking on StrawberryClock, so you were presented with the Clocktopia Medal of Honour.

A good little skit, better than most of the stuff that has come on so far this morning. I can totally see that you enjoy playing TF2 / Garry's Mod, but then again, this thing seems to be one of the meme spawning games out there.

The animation of flicking between two screenshots is pretty impressive and it gives a nice impression all told, plus you've come up with a better than average plot for today's usual standard.

No Ponies were harmed in the making of this flash, or this review.

kinggila responds:

Maybe Tom can agree with that idea. Then again, I suck at actionscript for flash so I wouldn't know how the medals work, haha.

Fucking Genius!

Wow, that's the funniest one so far. A great portrayal, almost a beat poem, with a short plot (do clock movies ever have plot?) and killer punchlines. I love the animation style and the way that it culminates in a very final ending for the piece.

You probably could have ended up with a punchline of Pineapple walking into the room, saying "hey Orange, have you got my gold, yet?" and seeing all of the corpses.

Still, well done and just what I was after.

biblo responds:

Y'know, sometimes they do have plots!

Solid parody

Good animation style, good jokes and a well presented piece. I think that the continuity error or welding a piece of armour onto a guy's shoulder is going to reduce his lifespan dramatically, but if that's the way it was in Starcraft II's opening, then kudos.

I like how in some shots, he looks like a normal bloke, while in others, you've got him as a half-crazed maniac, who is just as ready to get bumped off by one of these machines, as he is to go out there on skis and kill whatever he decides is an enemy. Just why exactly did he have four chocolate bars in his backpack, as if they were powering up his suit?!

I never really played this franchise, but I've turned my back on Blizzard after what they did with Warcraft, since WoW has corrupted everything. But I digress. The detail of the flash is intricate, but from my point of view could use a little fine tuning, just to tidy up a line here, a shape there and so forth. Still, to properly appreciate it, I'll have to check out the proper intro / trailer, won't I?

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
