Awesome

In spite of me signing up to the "anti-Cadbury Diet" and the form of torture that this induces (purely to get at Kraft, I might hasten to add), I am still partial to a spot of goo in these delightful creations. I love that you've come up with some futuristic looking Creme Egg wrappers. If the brains at Cadbury marketing have any cells still functioning, they would use your ideas as promotional wrappers. I might even succumb and buy one myself.

Right, back to the flash - I love a bit of Tron and Weebl and Bob makes it even better to watch. At first, I was a little sad to see that Bob wasn't in TTON original gear, as opposed to the new stuff, but then your writing skills came forth and showed me how that wouldn't be nearly as funny, so well done. WOuld it have looked better if the lightcycles actually followed the grid for spelling out "GOO"? Personally, I would have said yes, but that is the insanity of the goo coming out, I suspect.

FInally, on the Spots and Stripes starter, I would have expected a little more of a nod to the previous Easter mascot, the Mr. Cadbury's Parrot. I know it's Mini Eggs, but they both go hand in hand, surely? Still, what do I know, I can only watch these things and gibber in amazement.

Parody is the most sincere form of flattery

Wow, could this possibly be better than Tom's original? There is some really good writing here, combined with a great parody style of Tom's animation. I think that the way it's been set out is fantastic and you've done well.

Alfalfa sprouts? That's not what I'd have said - more like broad beans or even brussels sprouts, because they're slightly smaller and more fitting... mind you, I'm no expert on pre-op transsexuals, so I'll let it ride.

Regarding the tit jokes, you went a little far by having them rise so far up the screen. Perhaps have some shading for the areola there, as they look weird not to be showing half to two thirds of the breast, without even a hint of nipple, so just let people know it's there, before stopping the pervs from getting to the "good stuff"

The model patriot

Well, that's pretty much American patriotism in a nutshell. "We stand for our troops doing a damned fine job, beating up people that are different and taking a piss wherever we like. Awesome.

I have to say that your animation style makes even the hardest super hero look unhinged. Possibly it was Stamper's voice, or even the fact that the suit you drew him in made his head look like a dildo, but that just adds to the effect. A really nice touch with the "subtle" background and backing track, giving him the chance to hammer home his American Ego.

You've done a class A job on this, as has Stamper with the voice and it gives the impression that since his heyday, Captain America has done a little Class A of his own, if you know what I mean.

Get him a rocking chair

For god's sake, he gets more and more grumpy every time I see him. Do you think he's ever going to die, or will he live forever, in the guise of Hugh Jackman?

One of the oldest X-Men, Wolverine now has a job at Best Buy... I wonder how many XBexs he had to sell to get enough money to buy his copy of Marvel Vs Capcom 3? The light hearted take on an ageing super hero, getting on with the latter years of his life, which might have been partially inspired by Watchmen, is hilarious.

After all, he's still the man and more than athletic enough to become a serial rapist. If they argue, then rapist changes neatly to murderer. How the hell would cops catch him? Oh wait, they don't - the tax man will, so he has to get a job.

Cock Joke

Really, could we have expected anything else?

So we've got a close up of Hulk's face and he's being nice to people... until he gave us his monologue about various euphemisms for his penis. Perhaps I would have laughed harder if you'd have panned the camera down to a "suspicious bulge" and having Hulk say "you wouldn't like HIM when he's angry!"

Still, a funny little piece, good writing, decent animation and worthy of raising a smile to the face of most critics... assuming that they read the name of the author first ;)

Tony Stark :3

Wow, what a reception this game will get if the gameplay is half as good as the cartoons. It's the series we love to meh, Marvel Vs. Capcom and the horrendously convoluted "what if" scenarios that come with.

I love how you've captured the essence of Downey Jr's Stark and have also gone the way of the womanising. A shame that you couldn't have included Pepper Potts though, as we all know that he's in love with her... well, as much as you can be, when you're in love with yourself.

The sitting down in the armchair with his boots off was genius, though I'd have said the idea of the steaming boots lying to the side of the chair would have been slightly more appealing, though I do know that in your style, less is more.

The way that you've considered the muffling sound of the visor being down as well, just shows how genius this understated little piece is.

Laid "bear"

Well, you said it, when at the end, you asked "watch this shit again?" It was rather.

Where to begin... Well, the spelling was where I needed to start, since the word "bear" should have been spelled "bare" in the opening. He wouldn't make shoes with bear hands, as bears lack the manual dexterity for such a task, while bare (ungloved) hands would be what craftsmen use.

Right, onward to the animation - the door and the book cover both looked very thin and as a result didn't quite map properly - particularly when the door shut and it rotated along an axis that isn't where the hinges are. Working on making that sort of mistake go away would improve your animation so much.

The elves all unfolding from one another, much like a string of them you can make when you fold a long strip of paper up and attack it with scissors. Again, that didn't work and you'd have been better off getting more elves appearing from other angles and locations.

The plot is limited, but not completely hopeless. Give it a shot and see if you can come up with something else that sets the script on fire.

Needs a little more

With the way that you set this flash out, it was a decent plot, exposing the exercise in futility that was taking on Fusushi Tuna, handing out several nasty defeats to the challengers, though all with very little combat animation and variation on the theme "protagonist dies horribly and gets mailled back to base."

The voice acting was a little painful to listen to, with the monotone droning of the narrator and the fact that the piece was quite quiet. Increasing the volume of the voiceover slightly and coupling it with a few sound effects would do the trick here, to give it a nice boost.

I think that the drawing was good and some of the visual jokes that were garnered from this were just brilliant, so build on those, to give the piece more. Sometimes, when you animated the pieces, the background of the "rough paper" seemed to compromise the layout of the flash, stopping it from flowing perfectly. Perhaps a smoother looking background would assist, or even making the Fusushi Tuna look like a cut-out, made of this paper?

Wow, that was awful

You've made a half-decent loop, then added no animation to it, to try and get more of a boost for your audio. The effort would be commendable, if you'd made an animation, as opposed to some looping graphics that consisted of a one colour background that changes from time to time, while the text in front pulses, possibly in time with the music, but I couldn't begin to try and follow that.

Seriously, if you want some acclaim for your animation skills, try setting something up where you have an animation of maybe someone dancing, some sort of interpretation of the music going, rather than just a flashing background. The only thing you seem to have interpreted here is the program's name - Flash. It does do other things, you know.

More effort required all around.

This movie was made in 8 minutes, so why are you taking it so seriously?

Racism with a bow on it.

Wow, it's so polite, it's funny. The fact that Black people are probably the most racist people I know ("I'm not racist, look at the colour of me!") just makes this even funnier.

Yes, it's Black History Month, where all of White America (or at least those in power) try to look sympathetic to something that they couldn't do, but their ancestors did and had they had the chance to, would probably have done, except it was made illegal.

I'm not a fan of making a big thing out of all of this. Sure, there is a time and a place for it, in history lessons and books, so that we learn from the mistakes of the past, making the future a better place to be. The animation itself could have been a little better - have you considered annotating this piece with pictures, or even some animation of its own, as opposed to just the text being written? What about a pencil that moves and writes these words that are being said?

The voice was pretty good and with that, comes the fact that your animation does let it down a little, but with practice, you can improve what you've got here, no problem.

Krutches responds:

thank you for the review, I was going to add a hand and pencil that moves where the letters are written, but I just was lazy. I think that this would've been a better audio submission then Flash video, since my animation for this was done quickly.
Thank you for the review! Best one I have ever recieved.

You know, I stopped shaving to think of something to write here. That worked out well.
